Chapter 32: Broken

"It looks like we have a monster and his little pet." The elephant bull hybrid sneers as they close in around Jungkook and Taehyung.

Jungkook holds Taehyung in a bone breaking grip as he tries to think of a way to escape from the four herbivores. Taehyung looks at them in fear because three of the four are twice as large as Jungkook while the fourth is the same size.

"Please, we've never hurt anyone." Jungkook tells them as he continues to back up.

"Yet. You haven't hurt anyone yet." The rhino hybrid sneers as he eyes the pretty Arctic fox in Jungkook's arms.

"Let's see ... What level is your collar set at?" The ram hybrid threateningly mumbles as he presses a button on a remote.

Jungkook gasps and falls to his knees as pain shoots through his body. Taehyung screams and catches Jungkook as they fall. "Koo!!! What's wrong?!"

"A level one. Boring." The second elephant bull hybrid scoffs and walks over to the pair.

Jungkook gasps in pain as his body shakes from the pain. Taehyung screams as the bull grabs him by the hair and drags him away from Jungkook.

"NO!" Jungkook yells and lunges for Taehyung then collapses as another jolt of electricity rips through his body. "He's innocent." Jungkook gasps as he weakly looks up.

"Innocent? He's not innocent. He beds a monster. He's betrayed his kind by spreading his legs for you." The rhino sneers and runs his hands over Taehyung's body.

Seeing Taehyung shiver in disgust as he is being touched, triggers Jungkook's protective instincts. Before the rhino can register anything, Jungkook lunges at him and takes Taehyung back.

"Jungkook." Taehyung gasps in relief as he feels Jungkook's strong arms holding him.

"Stay behind me, Pup." Jungkook softly smiles at Taehyung as he sets him down.

Taehyung looks up at Jungkook as Jungkook turns around and faces the dangerous herbivores. When another jolt of electricity rips through his body, Jungkook barely flinches as he stares down his enemy and tries to figure out how to get Taehyung and the babies out of there.

As he finds the weakest point, a loud bang echoes through the apartment and blood begins to drench Jungkook's abdomen. Jungkook grunts and stumbles as he feels the new pain ripping through his body. Taehyung's scream echoes through the air as Jungkook collapses to the ground.

The four herbivores quickly charge the downed wolf and attack him with their metal rods. Taehyung lunges at them with his small body as he tries to protect Jungkook. A yelp rings through the air when Taehyung is hit and sent flying across the room. He instinctively curls up and protects his abdomen as he tumbles to the ground.

Jungkook's eyes snap open when he hears Taehyung's yelp. He gets up and begins to fight the four attackers. All that Jungkook can think of is protecting Taehyung. I have to protect my Pup. My sunshine. My life. My smile. My happiness. My world. Me everything. My Love. I have to keep him safe. My Taehyung.

Taehyung weakly gets up and charges at the attackers again. When he attacks this time, he jumps onto the back of the ram and begins biting and wraps his arms around the ram's throat. The ram screams and tumbles at the sudden pain then grabs Taehyung by the tail and yanks him off. Taehyung ignores the pain and attacks the ram again.

As they fight for their lives, the fire from the other buildings roars around them. When Taehyung glances at Jungkook, he sees him covered in blood and broken. The ram eventually overpowers the smaller hybrid and sends him flying across the room again.
