Chapter 15: Every Step Together

As Taehyung wakes up, a sadness fills him. Today is the day his mate has to get his canines pulled. Taehyung smiles as he watches his mate peacefully sleep. As he watches Jungkook sleep, he remembers Namjoon and Yoongi coming back home with their canines pulled as Jimin and Jin quietly cried and helped relieve their mates' pain.

Taehyung gently touches the canine poking out from the safety of Jungkook's lips. He has always thought that Jungkook's canines are adorable when they slightly show like this.

When Taehyung looks at the time, he quietly sighs and gently wakes Jungkook up. "Kookie, it's time for you to wake up." Taehyung whispers and kisses Jungkook's perky lips.

"Morning, Pup." Jungkook mumbles and opens his eyes.

"Morning, Alpha." Taehyung smiles and swishes his tail over Jungkook's.

"Pup, they grow back." Jungkook tells Taehyung when he sees Taehyung glance at his canines again.

"I know." Taehyung smiles and takes a deep breath.

As the couple gets ready, Taehyung fusses about what to wear. Jungkook just chuckles and watches him rustle through the closet with his tail flicking behind him.

"Pup, we are just going to a clinic in the less developed side of the city." Jungkook tells Taehyung as he wraps Taehyung in his arms.

"Sooooo this outfit or this outfit?" Taehyung asks as he shows Jungkook the two he can't decide between.

"The blue one. It matches your eyes." Jungkook answers with a happy smile.

"Ahhhhh I like it too." Taehyung smiles and puts the other outfit away.

Once they are ready, Taehyung clasps Jungkook's muzzle on him and kisses him on the forehead. Jungkook's tail swishes happily when Taehyung soft lips press against his forehead. As Jungkook opens the door, he hears the sound of a buckle clasp, so he turns around and looks at Taehyung. The sight he sees stuns him because Taehyung's icy blue eyes are smiling at him while a white muzzle covers his mouth and nose.

"Let's go." Taehyung tells his stunned mate and grabs Jungkook's hand.

"You-"

"Hm?"

"Where did you get it?" Jungkook asks and lovingly pets Taehyung's head.

"The really nice lady from the clothing store we shopped at the other week. I emailed her and asked her for one. It came in a couple of days ago." Taehyung explains as Jungkook messes with the straps.

"It has three straps." Jungkook chuckles.

"Well, yours does too." Taehyung points out as they walk out of their apartment together.

As they ride the elevator down, the bunny mother and nine of her kits squeeze on with them. Jungkook and Taehyung look at her surprised because she clearly isn't afraid of the dangerous carnivore who is within close proximity of her kits.

"You're pretty." One of the girls tells Taehyung as she looks at him in awe.

"Thank you." Taehyung smiles and bows.

"Mommy, the black one is handsome." One of the little boys tells his mother as he stares at Jungkook.

"He's very handsome." She replies and smiles at Jungkook.

Jungkook looks at them in shock because he was used to children calling him scary but definitely not handsome.

When the elevator doors open, the mother and her kits pile out as Jungkook and Taehyung follow behind. They watch as the nine kits join a larger group of kits.
