Chapter 10: Family is Home

As Taehyung continues to zip around the store while looking at everything, Jungkook follows with a large smile on his face. Even with the muzzle on, you can tell that he is smiling at his adorable mate.

"Jungkookie! What do you think about this?!" Taehyung chirps as he excitedly shows Jungkook a dish set.

"I like it." Jungkook answers and gently pets his excited mate.

"Ok! That finishes the kitchen!" Taehyung squeals and carries the dishes to the cashier to be held with everything else he's found.

"Do you plan on actually buying all of this, or are you just piling stuff up?" The cashier asks Taehyung in annoyance.

When Jungkook hears this, he turns to the manager who has been helping them for a while.

"Don't say that!" The manager panics and runs over.

"Why? All they keep doing is piling expensive stuff here. Do they really look like they can afford all of this?" She asks her manager in annoyance.

"Stop it!" The terrified donkey hybrid brays and covers her mouth.

"Do we need to go ahead and buy all of this before we can continue shopping?" Jungkook asks in annoyance as he pulls out his phone.

"No! Not at all! Go ahead and continue shopping." The manager answers with a nervous laugh.

As Taehyung and Jungkook walk off, they hear the manager lecture the cashier as he tells her that there are some very wealthy carnivores.

"Are you ok?" Jungkook asks Taehyung as they walk towards the bedroom section.

"I'm ok. I just don't know how you have lived like this." Taehyung sighs then hugs Jungkook.

"I'm used to it." The King wolf answers and pets his adorable mate.

"I wish that you didn't have to get used to it." Taehyung mumbles into his mate's chest.

"I'm ok. I really wish that you don't have to get used to this. I never wanted this for you." Jungkook sighs as he thinks about how much his mate is going to have to put up with.

"It is all worth it because I want to be with you." Taehyung smiles and gets on his tip toes to kiss his large mate.

When Taehyung kisses the outside of Jungkook's muzzle, Jungkook wishes he didn't have to wear the muzzle. Taehyung quickly looks around the store and sees no one is watching them, so he quickly unsnaps the top strap of the muzzle and pulls Jungkook's muzzle down. To Jungkook's surprise, Taehyung pulls him into a kiss. Jungkook quickly recovers and pulls Taehyung's hips to him with his hand on Taehyung's lower back. As they kiss, Taehyung purrs and swishes his tail. 

Not wanting to get caught, Taehyung pulls away and looks into Jungkook's soulful, black eyes. As Taehyung pulls the muzzle over Jungkook's face again and snaps it back together, a tear trickles down his face. They already pull Jungkook's teeth. Why do they make him wear this? Why do they treat him as less than an animal?

"Don't cry, Tae." Jungkook whispers and pulls his mate into a comforting hug.

"I hate that you have to wear the muzzle." Taehyung whimpers in Jungkook's embrace.

"It's ok, Pup." Jungkook rubs his mate's back.

When Taehyung hears Jungkook call him "pup", he blushes and hides his face. Jin always called him "pup" growing up, but his mate calling him "pup" makes him shy because it's a romantic nickname for the submissive mate by the dominant mate in canine pairs.

Jungkook smiles when he sees his mate's reaction to the nickname. He wasn't sure if he could use the nickname yet, but Taehyung's reaction tells him that Taehyung loves it.
