Chapter 36: Hope

As the weeks go by, Jungkook slowly begins walking again. Taehyung always keeps a watchful eye on Jungkook, making sure that he isn't pushing himself too far.

"Koo, how do you feel?" Taehyung asks Jungkook as they sit on the couch together.

"I feel great. It's nice to walk around and wraps my arms around you when you're cooking." Jungkook smiles and pulls Taehyung into his lap.

"I have to admit, you are recovering a lot faster than any of us expected. I am very grateful for this." Taehyung smiles and snuggles into Jungkook's embrace.

"How has Jimin been? I noticed that he's been smiling, but it must be hard since his father's been arrested." Jungkook asks and places his hands on Taehyung's tiny baby bump.

"He's been ok. He's been spending a lot of time with Jin hyung and Namjoon hyung. They love it because they can play with the twins." Taehyung answers and holds Jungkook's hands.

"We'll have pups." Jungkook happily whispers and pets Taehyung's tummy.

"We will." Taehyung smiles and kisses Jungkook's cheek.

As dinner approaches, the rest of the family arrives, including Baekhyun and Chanyeol. Taehyung gets up to greet everyone with Jungkook following close behind.

"We brought pasta!" Baekhyun happily tells Taehyung as he hands the dish to him.

Jungkook quickly takes the dish before Taehyung can then bring it to the kitchen. Yoongi chuckles when he sees Jungkook not allowing Taehyung to do anything because he was just like that when he learned that Jimin was pregnant.

"They're getting so big!" Taehyung squeals as he looks at the bright eyed twins.

"I can't wait for your twins to be born because our babies will grow up together." Jimin happily squeals and hands Woozi to Taehyung.

"That will be beyond adorable! Can you imagine how adorable they will be when they run around together?" Taehyung sighs happily and bounces Woozi in his arms.

"He looks like Yoongi hyung." Jungkook coos and tickles Woozi's chubby cheek.

"That's what I said!" Hoseok chirps and plants a kiss on Woozi's forehead.

"Their little ears are sooooo adorable!!!" Hyungsik coos and tickles Kihyun's fluffy, round ears wiggling on the top of his head as he looks at his samchons.

Yoongi smiles when he sees Chanyeol looking at the cub in his arms. longing to hold the cub but too shy and nervous to ask. "Here." Yoongi gently hands Kihyun to Chanyeol who nervously holds the chubby baby.

"Omo! I need a picture of this!" Baekhyun coos and takes a picture of his mate holding the happy cub.

"Ok, everyone! We are here to celebrate finally being together, Jungkook's health and safety, and Taehyung's pregnancy!" Jin announces as he kisses his little brother's cheek.

"Here's to our growing and healthy family!" Namjoon cheers as they lift their glasses.

The rest of the evening is filled with their happy chatter and laughter as they discuss different aspects of their lives. As the sun sets, Taehyung climbs into Jungkook's lap and happily closes his eyes. He drowns out the sound of the various conversations and listens to the heartbeats of his pups and mate.

Jungkook lovingly runs his fingers through Taehyung's hair and kisses his ears as he holds Taehyung in a protective grip.

By the time Taehyung is six months pregnant, Jungkook is surprisingly mostly recovered and healthy. He, Namjoon, Hajoon, Yoongi, and Chanyeol have started a small company that renovates and fixes the apartments inside the fence.
