Chapter 21: It Will Be Ok

There will now be a curfew for carnivores and dangerous carnivores.  They will be required to be inside their homes from 9 pm to 6 am. Those who break curfew will be arrested and imprisoned. This will go into affect tonight at 9 pm. All malls are now closed to carnivores and dangerous carnivores. Carnivores and dangerous carnivores who step on mall premises will be arrested and imprisoned.

A glass of water flies across the living room and hits the tv as Jin yells in frustration. Namjoon quickly pulls his angry mate into his arms and gently rocks him.

"More restrictions! Seriously?!" Jin yells as his ears flatten on his head and he fights Namjoon's arms.

"It's ok, Jinnie. It's ok." Namjoon softly tells him as he rubs his back.

Yoongi lovingly holds his distressed, pregnant mate as Jimin tugs on his ears and whines. He gently holds the swollen tummy and rocks Jimin trying to calm him down.

"Calm down, Mini. We are ok. I am here with you and nothing is going to change that." Yoongi softly whispers and kisses Jimin's ears then releases a calming scent.

"Why don't they put a curfew on the crazies who attack carnivores and riot?" Taehyung hisses and angrily flicks his tail.

"Because all of the lawmakers are herbivores and small omnivores." Hyungsik answers with a heavy sigh.

"It's only been four months since they forced all of the dangerous carnivores to report to the City Hall. What are they planning to do next? Arrest all carnivores and lock them up?!" Taehyung growls in frustration.

"Whatever it is, we will stay calm because this is all we can do." Jungkook softly tells Taehyung and pets his ears to calm him down.

"I'm trying to stay calm, but things just keep getting worse." Taehyung cries and curls up in Jungkook's arms.

"I know. It's hard." Jungkook softly sighs and buries his face in Taehyung snow white hair.

"I'm just so scared of what is going to happen in the future." Jin cries and clings to Namjoon.

For the rest of the evening, the family quietly sits together as they worry about the future.

The next morning when Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jungkook arrive at their company building, there are several police officers standing outside.

"May I help you?" Namjoon asks as he approaches the officers.

"Are you Kim Namjoon?" The water buffalo hybrid asks as he looks at the three carnivores.

"Yes, Sir." Namjoon nervously answers.

"I have come to inform you that according to the new laws, you can only have 15 carnivore workers, but you have 20. By tomorrow, you will need to have released a few or else you will be fined." The officer explains and hands Namjoon the citation.

Namjoon quietly stands there as the officers leave and looks at the citation in his hand. The three of them quietly walk into the office to figure out what to do because they can't fire any of the workers. They all have families and no other options.

"We should split the company." Yoongi suggests after a few minutes of silent contemplation.

"Hm?" Namjoon looks up when he hears Yoongi.

"We should legally split the company. I'll take ten workers to put on my end. If we do this, we can hire five more people each." Yoongi explains and draws up the plan.

"That's a good idea. You already know how to run the company and have your own office. We can still work the jobs together just under different contracts." Namjoon sighs in relief with Yoongi's suggestion.
