Feeling the same way

As Tadashi reached Mizuki's lab, there he saw Mizuki talking on a phone.

"Okay, take care!" Mizuki cheered and turned off the phone.

Tadashi slightly knocked on a wall to make Mizuki realize that he's there. Mizuki turned her gaze at Tadashi, smiled at him and gestured him to come in.

"So, what were you trying to say awhile ago?" Mizuki recalled.

Tadashi sighed and gulped.

"Mizuki, the thing is... I... Really, like you..." Tadashi finally let out the words he was trying to hold back.

Mizuki's smile disappeared and was replaced with a shocked expression.

"Tadashi...." Mizuki trailed off.

"You know.. It's okay if you only see me as a friend, i won't blame you for it..." He tried to smile.

"And all i'm asking... Is that if i can know the truth, just so i can stop expecting if you don't feel the same way.." He finally confessed.

Mizuki just stood there in shock, wouldn't know what to say and what to do. She can't run away, it would come out as being rude. She can't even tell if she can answer Tadashi properly. All was going too fast for Mizuki until she thought for a minute and realized, that she felt love towards him.

Tadashi, just stood there waiting for her reply. Minutes have passed and mizuki still haven't said anything.

"... I-I'm sorry, it was my fault for bringing this up.." Tadashi frowned.

Tadashi felt embarrassed and wanted to leave.

"I-I should go..." Tadashi said as he turned around and walks away.

As Tadashi is near the exit..

"wait.."

Tadashi heard Mizuki say. He stopped from his tracks and faced Mizuki. He saw Mizuki, looking down, lips are pursed.

"Tadashi... I..." Mizuki trailed off.

"I......" Mizuki tried to tell something but it felt like as if she couldn't tell Tadashi what she felt.

She's too scared to return the feeling but she didn't want to make Tadashi think that she rejected him.

And so, Mizuki closed her eyes and ran towards Tadashi. She then embraced Tadashi and still couldn't say a word. Tadashi was shocked and embraced her back and let it last for a couple of minutes. Mizuki, buried her face on Tadashi's chest and remained silent.

Tadashi, on the other hand, tightened his embraced and proceeded combing her hair with his hand. Mizuki's hair felt so soft and smooth. Mizuki slightly pulled away and looked at Tadashi. She smiled and her face is slightly red. Tadashi smiled at her.

"so... The truth is.....?" Tadashi asked as he raised an eyebrow, a smile appearing on his face.

"you can keep on expecting.." Mizuki answered with a smile, a blush forming on her face.

Tadashi's face lit up and grinned at her widely.

Tadashi couldn't help himself and so, he lifted Mizuki by her waist and spun around with her. Mizuki giggled and couldn't stop smiling at him.
