Destined Fate

A Depressing Day

They went inside the operating room and there they saw the doctor, trying to wake Mayu up using the defibrillators.

"Clear!" Said the doctor then placed the defibrillators on Mayu.

Mayu's frail body jumped slightly from the electric shock but wouldn't seem to wake Mayu up. Mizuki wanted to go near Mayu but the other doctors resisted her from going any closer.

"Mayu!!" Mizuki cried.

Soon, the heart rate monitor went to a loud 'beep', noting that Mayu's pulse rate had stopped. The doctors backed away slowly.

"There's nothing else we can do..." The doctor stated. Mizuki soon broke down and fell on her knees.

"M-Mayu....." Mizuki whimpered.

Tadashi tried to comfort Mizuki but failed as tears formed in Mizuki's eyes.

"Mayu!!" Mizuki cried. Tadashi frowned at the scene and couldn't think straight.

"Mayu....." Tadashi muttered as he knelt down and looked at Mizuki.

Mizuki couldn't help herself so she buried her face on Tadashi's shoulder and cried. Tadashi patted Mizuki's back and let her cry on his shoulder for a couple of hours.

Minutes later, Tadashi and Mizuki were sitting on a bench, outside the operating room. Mizuki is looking down on her lap, puffy eyes and stained by the tears she had awhile ago.

Tadashi placed his hand on his mouth, doesn't know what to do nor to think.

Mayu was a very nice girl, kind and gentle. She's as smart as her sister and very lovable. Tadashi could hear Mizuki sniff and looked at her. Mizuki is still looking down, her hair is covering half of her face. Mizuki replayed the moments they had with Mayu in her mind and that made her alot more upset.

Mizuki wiped off her small tears and tried to speak but failed.

"M-Mayu....." Was all Mizuki could say at the moment.

Tadashi frowned by the way Mizuki felt as if she was left all alone. Her family is gone and she's left all alone.

"Hey... Mizuki.." Tadashi tried to get her attention.

"Hmm...?" Mizuki hummed in a questionable tone.

"I-if you ever feel alone... Remember that i'll be right there, by your side..." Tadashi said as he tried to cheer Mizuki up.

Mizuki sniffed and looked at Tadashi, half of her face is covered by her hair but Tadashi could see her smiling at him. Tadashi smiled and decided to move the hair that's covering her face behind her ear lobe.

"Tadashi.....thank you.." Mizuki said, soft eyes were looking directly at Tadashi.

Tadashi couldn't help the happiness forming inside him and so, he leaned on to Mizuki until their foreheads meet.

Mizuki and Tadashi stayed like that for a couple of minutes and they slightly chuckled. Mizuki pulled away from Tadashi and smiled at him

"we should... Prepare some things for Mayu's funeral.." Mizuki suggested as Tadashi agreed.
