Guilt

Minutes later, she arrived at the hospital where Mayu and Tadashi were.

She rushed in and found out that Mayu is in the operating room. She rushed there, still limping due to her previous accident.

Tadashi was looking down and is fiddling with his fingers while Mayu is still resting.

Soon, the door of the operating room burst open to reveal Mizuki. Tadashi was shocked and ran towards Mizuki to support her from falling down

"Let go!" Mizuki cried, struggling her arm away from him.

"Mizuki..." Tadashi muttered as he tried to hold her uninjured arm only to be shove away by Mizuki.

Mizuki gritted her teeth and quickly turned her head towards Tadashi to show how she felt betrayed. Mizuki suddenly softened her eyes towards Tadashi then looked away and limped towards Mayu's sleeping form.

Mayu felt a presence beside her and slowly opened her eyes and saw Mizuki, crying infront of her.

"Mizuki..." Mayu smiled.

"Mayu, i'm here.. Don't worry" Mizuki said as she caressed her cheek with her hand.

Mayu gazed over her arm to see bandages around it.

"Mizuki.... Your arm..." Mayu muttered.

"no, no... That's nothing.. I'm fine.. Okay?" Mizuki whimpered and smiled at her little sister, lips were trembling.

Tadashi then approached Mizuki and placed his hand on Mizuki's shoulder.

"Tadashi... Leave us be!" Mizuki slightly growled and closed her eyes as tears flowed down from it.

Tadashi frowned

"...I'll be outside.." Tadashi said in an upset tone and stayed outside the operation room.

"Mizuki...." Mayu frowned.

Mizuki opened her eyes and looked at Mayu.

"you shouldn't have been rough towards Tadashi....." Mayu stated.

Mizuki looked down and frowned.

"....you're right.... I'm sorry, Mayu..." Mizuki said as she looked at her little sister once more.

Mayu smiled.

"Mizuki.... You don't have to beg for forgiveness from me... Do it to Tadashi.." Mayu said.

Mizuki then smiled at Mayu and nodded.

"you're right... Mayu" Mizuki stated and stood up properly, still fighting the pain running in her body.

"Mayu... Take a rest and I'll be right back" Mizuki smiled as she caressed her little sister once more.

"I will... Thanks, sis." Mayu smiled and Mizuki nodded. Mizuki then left the operating room to find Tadashi outside.

Tadashi was sitting down on a bench near the operating room, looking down.

"Tadashi...." Mizuki called out.

Tadashi knew the familiar voice, he then suddenly glanced at the direction where the voice came from and saw Mizuki, looking down at her feet.

"Mizuki..." Tadashi muttered.

Mizuki then decided to limp towards Tadashi and carefully sat next to him. Tadashi, on the other hand, supported Mizuki carefully as she sat down.

"Look..... I-I'm......I'm sorry for being rough on you awhile ago....." Mizuki stated.

Tadashi looked at her, guilt building up in his nerves.

"No.... It was my fault for not letting you see your sister..." Tadashi admitted

"I-I was........ Very worried about you and I was afraid that you'll end up hurting yourself...." Tadashi added.

Mizuki slightly giggled and looked at Tadashi. Tadashi tried to look away, hiding his embarrassment but failed as he saw Mizuki's face getting closer to see his reaction. Heat formed on Tadashi's cheeks and he decided to hide it with his cap. Mizuki giggled.

"Tadashi, how about we go back to Mayu..?" Mizuki suggested.

"Of course" Tadashi smiled. As Tadashi and Mizuki were about to enter the room, they heard the doctors blabbering about something and that's when, they realized that there's an emergency.
