Destined Fate

Hated

By the next day, Mizuki was running late for some odd reason.

It was Sunday and she forgot to visit somewhere else. She then arrived the hospital she mostly go to every Sunday.

As she went to the room, there she saw her little sister. She hugged her little sister and apologized for being late.

Mayu, her littler sister, is not amused by her.

"You're slowly forgetting me, aren't you... Big sis?" She said, teary eyes and lips are trembling.

"No! I don't! Believe me" Mizuki protested.

"Liar!" Mayu yelled.

"Don't ever come back here, big sis. I hate you!" She yelled.

Mizuki's eyes widened in shock.

"M-Mayu.." She reached out her hand to embrace her little sister but was pushed away by the hand of Mayu.

"Don't touch me! I hate you" she cried.

"Mayu, i'm sorry!" Mizuki yelled from hearing words she wouldn't want to hear.

She's the only closest family she has and now.. She hates her. She would feel incomplete without her little sister's embrace. Now, she's being rejected by her own little sister. The sound of the heartbeat of her sister is slowly decreasing.

"Mayu? Mayu!" Mizuki cried.

"I won't ever... Forgive you" Mayu said as her last words.

And the heartbeat turned zero. Mayu is gone. Mizuki cried and cried and won't be able to forgive herself.

Mizuki woke up from a nightmare and looked up at her ceiling. She checked the clock and it was 12:36am. A short nightmare woke her up and she couldn't sleep from it. Mizuki then got up and went to Tadashi's lab.

Tadashi was still awake and was working on his project plan until he heard a soft knock coming from his door. He slowly opened the door only to see Mizuki, upset.

"Mizuki.. You're still awake?" He questioned.

Mizuki shook her head and explained.

"I had a bad dream. And i couldn't sleep because of it" she trembled.

Tadashi worried about Mizuki.

"you can sleep here for tonight, you can use my mattress over there" he pointed at the mattress he's been sleeping on whenever he decides to stay in the university for the night.

Mizuki softly thanked Tadashi and decided to sit on it for a while then slowly lied down. Tadashi was trying to be as quiet as possible so that Mizuki can sleep. Mizuki noticed this.

"Tadashi... You can continue your work, i don't mind" she explained.

"No, no, I was infact about to sleep anyways" he smiled.

"Where will you be sleeping?" Mizuki questioned.

"I'll sleep on my chair, don't worry" he smiled once more. Mizuki felt a little guilty for having the comfortable place but as soon as she was about to call Tadashi, he was fast asleep. So, she decided to close her eyes and drifted to sleep, too.
