I busied myself at work and in studying real estate. One week na simula nang hindi magparamdam sa akin si Asher.
I started replying to Reginald's messages. Kamustahan lang, I replied... being civil. We haven't seen each other yet, we talked casually lang on chat.
Hindi naman nagpapakita ng ibang intention si Reginald. Nangamusta lang siya, everyday pangangamusta. He even asked me when we could meet in person. I told him maybe next weekend.
I'm still thinking about Asher, na san na kaya ang isang yun? I tried to ask Astara pero even Andi, she doesn't know where Asher is. Ang alam niya lang ay magkasama si Asher and Ashton.
Asher's absence is new to me! Hindi ako sanay na wala siyang paramdam! He is so unfair!
I crumpled the piece of paper and threw it in the trash can. This is so wrong, I can't concentrate!
"You're spacing lately Tash." napalingon ako sa katrabahong si Emily, she's also a Filipina.
"It's nothing Emz." sagot ko rito.
"I haven't seen Asher... is he... busy?" I can see that Emily is blushing, mas dumagdag pagkairita ko.
"You like him?" I probed
She smiled, then she sat down in the vacant chair in front of me. Her eyes are twinkling. I sat down in my swivel chair and I unconsciously gripped the hem of my dress.
I took deep breath trying not get irritated.
"Yes... Do you think he likes me too? He is a very sweet guy. He even asked me my mobile number weeks ago." Aniya na mas lalong nagpahigpit sa kapit ko sa aking suot.
"He's taken." I know I'm lying to her but... I don't want other girls to like him!
Her jaw dropped at mukhang siyang pinagbagsakan ng langit at lupa.
"I'm sorry Emz, but... Asher is already taken." pagklaklaro ko sa kanya. Ibinalik ko na lamang muli ang atensyon ko sa mga papeles na inaayos ko.
"Are you serious Tash? He told me he's single."
"When did he tell you?" I asked, trying not to show that she's starting to irritate me.
"Last night." Napadiin ang hawak ko sa aking ballpen. I took a deep breath at tinignan muli si Emily.
"You talked to him last night?" I tried to fake my smile.
"Yes, he called me last night. Nangamusta, about work and... madami naman kaming napag-usapan." wala sa sarili akong napatayo mula sa aking upoan.
Nag-angat ng tingin sa akin si Emily and she looks surprised by my action.
"Excuse me Emz, I think I need to go to the comfort room." pag sisinungaling ko. She also stood up, she smiled at me and nodded slowly.
Dali dali kong kinuha ang aking bag at inilabas ang aking cellphone. I tried to call Asher's number but it can't be reached!
Did he block me?
Habang naglalakad papalabas ng opisina, nakasalubong ko si Jane isa sa mga co-workers ko. She's holding her phone.
"Jane..." tawag ko rito.
"Yes señorita?"
"Can I use your cellphone. I think my phone is not working properly ."
She smiled and she handed me her phone. I immediately dialed Asher's number. I gritted my teeth when his phone rings.
He did block me
Few rings and voila!
"Hello, may I know who is this please?" nagsisimula nang mamuo ang mga luha sa aking mga mata.
