Chapter 3
The next morning was hectic, my parents rushed around while i was sitting at the kitchen table on the ground floor eating a bowl of lucky charms which weren't the best way to start off the morning. I had already taken a shower, blow dried my hair making sure it was straight and curled it into loose waves. Taking me 45 minutes, yet my mom and dad had not even taking a shower running around with important documents.
The same day i was to start my new high school was the same day my parents company SLA was to be opened, right in the centre of NYC the building was extremely tall and very modern. The mayor would open it and then my parents could begin work again, and their company was yet to open in an hour.
"You're gonna be late" I addressed them "And you have to drive me to school, so chop chop"
"Dont give me that Sierra-Rose" Dad snapped.
I shot up straight in my chair "Oooh, the middle name that really scares me"
"Sierra, stop it. We can't find our SLA ID's go get ready, and i think you will need to walk to school or we are going to be extremely late"
I huffed "Fine"
They smiled and carried on rushing around, hustling me up the stairs to my room. I quickly changed into my outfit i had lied out the night before, plum coloured jeans, a white loose fleese, black ankle boots and my aztec backpack, i quickly changed into my new clothes and threw on some jewellery to look presentable. I stuffed my glasses into my bag along with a few note books and some lunch money, within a few minutes i was out of the door in a flash without saying a goodbye or good luck to my parents.

The school i was to be attending was Spring-hill high school , a few roads away 51st street. It was not far from my townhouse on 69th street, a decent half hour walk at a fast pace i had figured out and from school i guessed an hour as the school ended at 3 which was like a rush hour. The streets were lined with adults dressed in smart suits, all heading towards the centre which was where my parents building was to be.
As i was the new girl i had set myself a simple rule, of blending in. As even though i hadn't attended school for the last 3 years and being homeschooled i didn't want to stick out, i had no intention to make myself a stander out from the crowd.
I went over the rule over and over again in my head, trying to take it in as if it was air breathing it and not being able to live without it.
After a half hour trek along the roads, directed by certain NYC stranges i had made my way to Roosevelt before the bell was to go. The building was rather quite large and was 5 storeys high, each one the windows on the side were quite small and something was plastered on top of them, either a poster or a reminder for something stupid.
I kept my head held up, even though i was determined to blend in and never cause a scene it was great to always make a first good impression. I watched the students, ranging from freshman to senior whereas i was to be a Sophmore all of them were in their groups the classics and then a few more new groups a group of girls disucssing a book and others with guitars.
The sporty jocks still existed, a group of them were hustled together next to the cheerleaders, they were in a colourful cheerleader uniform of blue and white with blue bows in their hair.As i walked up the steps i heard the chatter "I hear we have a new student joining out class" One of them said.
"Yeah, and did you hear about the Sierra Lawson Arachnology company building opening up in the city centre?" Another one said.
"Who was that Sierra Lawson chick anyway? Wasn't she the daughter of the scientists?"
"Yeah, 3 years ago something happened to her she was took out of school and everything. Nobody has seen her since"
"But the building is so cool, it has all the lastest equipment apparently" One said changing the sbject.
I smiled as carried on my way up the steps, a small sign was placed up that read Reception, i was supposed to collect my timetable. I pushed open the door and gave my name to the receptionist the woman stared wide eyed "Sierra Rose Lawson?" I told her again.
She nodded, still her eyes didn't move from me, she reached for my timetable before speaking "As in The Sierra Lawson?"
I gave a quick smile and took the timetable from her, the reaction from her was a classic after over hearing the cheerleaders they had not forgotten who i was. Sierra Rose Lawson, the daughter of one of the worlds leading scientists who disappeared 3 years ago. I knew my parents would have a hard time with the press in their opening ceremony knowing what happened to their daughter.
From that i had a whole scene in my head 'Hannah and Michael Lawson what happened to Sierra!' One would shout out, another 'Are the rumors true? Is she suffering from depression? Did you abuse her?'
The scene scared me, it was like a fear that had no name. I carried on in my tracks looking down to my timetable, i knew i should have asked directions to my class room. My first class was Biolodgy, great on a monday morning, the room read G17. I thought hard about where the room would be, i had no intention to ask anybody even though if you don't ask you don't get.
But then i felt something hit my foot, sending me tumbling to the floor.
"Oh my god...are..y-you a-alright?" A voice said.
"Yeah" I told them.
"Here let me help you up" The voice said again.
I turned around while the arm hoisted me up,it was a guy more or less the same age as me. The guy had his hair parted at the side that was a warm brown colour, the first thing i noticed, he was my height, had high cheek bones, pale skin and square glasses on that were much like mine. He was dressed in a buttoned shirt and jeans, his bag hung over his left shoulder that held him down.
"Im sorry im so clumsy" He said, "I'm Peter" he told me holding out his hand.
"I'm Sierra" I told him.
"I guess you're new, nobody ever goes to Miss Teller she's the worst"
I laughed, Peter smiled, the guy was cute and kind of a person i expected to be friends with who kept their head down. "Yeah, she just gave me my timetable and stared at me like i was a ghost" I joked.
"Where's your first class? I can walk you to it if you like" He said.
I smiled "That would be nice, i'm in room G17 and i have no idea where that is"
"Oh, Bio. I have that now, and a tip to remembering the rooms. There are 10 classrooms on each floor so G17 is on the next level, so it goes up in 10s" Peter told me "The lunch hall is at the very end, there are some signs up. And the same with your homeroom which by the looks of your timetable is Mr Hammond, he's okay i have him. I'm sorry i'm rambling aren't I?"
He laughed and looked down to his watch, the time read 7:50 "Should we head to class then?" I asked.
"Yeah, Mrs Donnelly will make you do an introduction about yourself it's what you have to do when you are a new student. Each teacher will make you do it, so if you notice the same people say something different" He told me.
Excellent, i have to announce im Sierra Rose Lawson and im the girl you thought went missing.

Guys, i am totally loving my story so far! Thanks for the reads BTW
When i picture my characters i think of Sierra as Cara Deldevine (i dont know how you spell her last name, basically shes the girl as Margo in Paper towns the movie and i love her!) and the guy Peter I would like to think as Miles Teller (bæ).
Love ya all"
Like, comment. You know what to do.
