Chapter 5- Lennie, James, Peter and me

Chapter 5

For the rest of class we were utterly silent, it was peaceful but never in a good way. I struggled to pry my hands from the table, they were stuck thanks to my ability to climb up the walls it came in useful sometimes but when trying to grab something and won't let go then i'm done. Peter looked over at me every five minutes, as i still struggled to remove my left hand from the table 'Not today, please not today' I thought.

"You okay there Sierra?" Peter whispered to me as Miss Donnelly handed out our homework "Your hand had been like that for the last 20 minutes"

"Yes" I snapped quickly.

But then Miss Donnelly overheard us "Mr Connors, Miss Lawson is there are problem with the homework you would like to discuss?"

The class sniggered, I huffed "No, there's no problem just-"

"We were discussing, her parents work. Seeing as her parents study arachnids that would be living so we could do something linked to that in the fututre, also their evolution of how her parents evolved their 5 spiders that they created and the the cells of their unit of life" Peter says.

"Somebodies done their homework on how to stalk your crushes parents" Lennie mutters under her breath.

The class groans, but Miss Donnelly smiles "What an excellent idea, Peter. The board was discussing that we were to be taking a trip to SLA as next week we will be starting the work of arachnids so maybe i will be able to get us a field trip after all"

I place my head on the table,no,no,no, i cannot go to my parents place of work like that. I know enough about the place as it is, and i intend the know no more.

The bell then suddenly went off, i smiled and rose my head from the table, stuffing my homework and notebooks inside my backpack. Hopefully the next few hours would eventually fly by, i looked down to my timetable and it read G03 "Peter, where's G03?" I ask him.

"First floor, its Math. Then after that we have homeroom, Lennie is going to G03 now so she can guide you" He tells me.

I nod and look towards Lennie, shes smiling radiantly "Yay, come on Sierra lets leave the boys to it" She says pulling my arm. "Mr Reinstein is easy going he won't make you say who you are"

"Excellent" And this time i really do mean it.

By the time it's home room the news has spread far and wide, 'Sierra Lawson is the new girl', it's my new identity and the cheerleader girl who harassed me along with Jamie was Hadley Smith, what you would call one of the most popular girls in school. According to Lennie, she is the girlfriend of Jamie and Jamie is the quarterback of the schools team also said to be one of the fastest runners in school. I laughed when Lennnie told me, i could out run him any day when i told Lennie this she laughed.

Lennie had to direct me to homeroom, it was on the third floor and Lennie's homerooom was on the fifth she walked with me making sure i found my way. Once we found my room she quickly dashed off leaving me by myself to enter homeroom lonely.

I took hold of the door nob trying to be gentle, when i entered an old man with silver hair was hunched up at his desk marking papers. "Who are you?" The teacher asked.

"Mr Hammond thats Sierra, the new student thats joining us today. I told you" Peter told him.

I smiled politely "Well, Sierra sit by whoever you like today we are having a chilled lesson as nothing has been sent down for me yet so you are free to talk until we will recieve what we are to do today" Mr Hammond tells us.

Peter smiles and motions towards me, i walk towards where he is sitting the desks are all bunched together to make one big table. His bag rests on an empty chair next to him, but he puts it down beside me giving me the chance to sit next to him. "Hey Sierra" He says pushing up his glasses clothes to his eyes. "How did Math go?"

"Fine, but the whole school knws by now and i think Lennie has something to do with it" I joked.

"Lennie is part of the school paper, i take the pictures and she writes it up. She's a bit of a blabber mouth, can't keep a secret for a few minutes and im guessing she will be writing up an article on you and have it published by next week" He says.

I laughed and took to my seat, watching where i put my hands "Anything else i need to know about this place?"

"Yes, beware of Hadley Smith, she was the girl after you. She usually get's what she wants, her father is the principal" He says "Stay away from her and her little minions Kristin and Yasmin"

"Thanks for the information, so im guessing James is your best friend according to Lennie"

He nods "I have known James my whole life and the same for Lennie, she hasn't got many friends on the account of her being a blabber mouth but we're friends with her"

"Well add me to her list of friends"

Peter smiles and looks straight at my eyes "You're not what i thought you were gonna be" He says quickly. "You look like you belong with the people such as Hadley"

"They would pick on me too, on the account i am a nerd and have parents who are world famous scientists"

"Very true. Well welcome to the gang"

Hey guys so sorr if this chapter is quite short and boring, i have something planned for my next chapter and i need to have it finished. My next chapter will be exciting!

My chapters will as i say be posted in small parts and i have school coming up so chapters can be quite short as i will take the chance to do 1 or 2 chapters a week.
