Chapter 16- "I'm trying to protect you"
I had not stopped crying for 10 minutes, I had the odd pat on the shoulder from the members of my Basketball team. The boys didn't ask what was going on they just said 'Hope you're okay'.
But not all boys are liked that, especially Peter and James. Peter approached us as we walked towards the school, Lennie clung to me telling me it was okay to be sad about it.
"Sierra? Can I please speak to you in private?" He asks me.
I look towards Lennie, she nods. Peter walks alongside me, we find a small spot on a bench he huffs and sits down. "Please tell me what's going on with you" He says.
"I wanted to be there Peter I honestly did, I did my hair, makeup and found the perfect red dress. But I couldn't, something came up" I say.
He shakes his head "I don't believe that. You look as if you have just been mugged, did you?"
I shake my head "I fainted, I was in a alleyway" I lie.
"In a alleyway? Were you alright?"
"Yes, I'm fine. But Peter, I can't do this to you. Can we wait a while? Until I have some things sorted out, I'm not saying that we should not see each other. All I'm asking is for you to wait a little while longer"
Peter looks down. I take his hand "I'm trying to protect you"

I say the works over and over in my head, 'I'm trying to protect you'. I wished to say that to Lennie, to my parents. To keep them out of it all the people I loved were getting involved, and that was a major risk.
At lunch we settled down on the field, Peter, James ,Lennie and me. We ate our lunch in silence, Peter took pictures of the sky for his photography, he still kept his distance from me.
"So Sierra" James says "How did you get them cuts and bruises?"
"Lay off James" Lennie snaps.
James folds his arms and smiles "So, how did you get them? 'Cause you have had quite a few of them the last few days and that limp. You always are late after Lunch, always disappearing and I never saw you in the library-"
"James!" Lennie shouted
Anger bubbled through me "Why should I tell you!" I shout, storming off.
I start to run, leaving them behind. I pick up the pace and run inside and in to the girls bathroom, nobody is in it. I lock a stall and put my head up against it, James was on to me.
He will always know something is up.
I look into my bag and see my White Widow suit, I sit on the toilet and stare at it "We can go now?" I say to it.
I grin, and pull my clothes off and put it on. I put my mask on, but then I hear footsteps "Sierra? I know you're in here!" A voice says.
I climb over the stall and see it's only Lennie "Go away Len, I'm going out" I say.
She sees me and smiles "There's 20 minutes left of lunch, and James would get more suspicious"
"I need to get out" I tell her.
"Then go"
She smiles, I open up the stall and give her my bag. I pull the mask over my head "I'll be back before lunch, if James or Peter asks where I am tell them I felt sick and I'm in the girls bathroom"
She nods. I climb out the window, and look down. We are on the second floor, I jump out and climb on the side of the building. I climb until I'm on to the top floor, from then on I spurt a web out and swing from it.
I'm now carefree, White Widow is carefree, together we can do our job of saving people and helping out the community. We swung all the way to Times Square, I peered over the top of a building to see the people still busily at work. I stood up and smiled, one person looked up and spotted me.
I waved "Hello people of New York! Your friendly hero is here!" I shouted.
The people laughed, I spurted a web out on to another building. "Woo hoo!" I shouted.
I wanted it to always be like this, being White Widow.
*****
Hey I threw in a chapter to you guys because you deserve it, it would be nice if you guys could vote and comment i would really appreciate it.
But I have decided on a fitting cast for some of the characters.
Miles Teller as Peter
Nicholas Hoult as James
Chloe Grace Moretz as Lennie!
Anybody got some suggestions for Sierra I'm quite undecided on who she is in my mind,
I would like to dedicate this chapter to my lovely friend Carly, she has a book she is currently writing and has a teaser for it called Fearless!
I'm also giving a big shout out to @Ramsha-Farooq
