Chapter 12
"I need help dressing for this dinner thingy with Josh's dad." I said, with my cellphone in my ear. Josh just dropped me off at my house, saying he had to take care of some things and that he would pick me up when it's time. I frowned at his vague time to pick me up, but I ran inside immediately to call Penelope for help.
"Wait what? Charlotte, where have you been all day? One second I see you walking down the hall, the next you're not even at school?" I sighed, I knew I would be having this conversation sooner or later.
"Josh took me out to eat, and now Im at home getting ready to meet his father," I sighed, "So, are you gonna help me or not-" Suddenly Penelope squealed in my ear. In my ear! Does she care about my ear at all? I quickly pulled the receiver back and waited until she stopped.
And waited. And waited. After three minutes, and fifty seconds, Penelope finally stopped. I shook my head, "You have some strong lungs."
"Yeah, that's what five years of taking swimming lessons does to ya. Anyway, I can't believe it. You, Charlotte Bell, soon to be, Charlotte Castro, skipped? Actually skipped? Im starting to love Mr. Castro." I rolled my eyes,
"So, you just spent three minutes and fifty seconds, squealing at me because I skipped?" I asked smiling,
"Yes! This is...remarkable. I just really need to text Annie and the guys that our little Char bear is growing up. Wait, that reminds me, when are you getting married?" She asked and I shrugged even though she couldn't see me,
"I have no idea. Maybe, during the summer. But, I don't....I don't think I can plan a wedding." I said, frowning slightly. I never even thought about it. About planning the wedding. I was just so caught up in being mad at Josh or thinking about this forced marriage that I didn't think about the actual wedding.
I smiled, "I always wanted to get married at a beach. To get to be in the sand, and have the sound of the ocean in the background. The sun setting in the background." I smiled this wedding is gonna be awesome.
"That is such a cliche wedding. But if you want the ocean and the beach and the sun, your wedding should either be in Florida or Hawaii. Like I said before, cliche. But, maybe you should hire a wedding planner." A wedding planner? Someone who actually does the work for me?
"No. What if say wedding planner makes a mistake? No. Im planning this wedding and you and Annie are helping." I said quickly dismissing the idea of a wedding planner.
"Whatever. I would love to help-"
"Okay. Great. Now, back to the situation at hand. Are you coming over or not?" I asked looking at the time. It's was four 'o clock. We really did not have a lot of time left.
"Sure." She chirped, "I have the perfect dress, to impress a guy who's all about high class and sophistication." I raised an eyebrow, okay? Im not going to ask how she knows that.
"Cool. Come quick. Im pretty sure Josh is picking me up around seven or eight." I said and she huffed into phone,
"Im coming just calm your tits. I'll be there in a few." Calm my tits? Was I really just asked to....Penelope is so weird. I hung up and walked towards my room. When I opened the door I noticed Robby sitting on my bed. My eyes grew wide and my inner germaphobe came out,
"Robbie you know how I feel about people on my bed-"
"Calm down, I took a shower before I came in here." He sat down on the edge of my bed and patted the spot next to him, "Little sis, we need to talk. About boys and how they can persuade females to do anything." What?
