Chapter 26
"No." That was the first thing Robbie said when I told him about my envelope. Dad sent him a first class ticket too. I frowned at him, he didn't even think about it. This was our chance to get to know our dad.
"Robbie think about it. This is our chance to get to know our dad-"
"Who left us, Charlotte. Why would you want to go back to that asshole. To see how much better off he was without us. He's not even our dad, Charlotte. He's a sperm donor." In any other situation, I would've laughed at the fact that my brother said the word sperm-donor. Maybe in a less serious situation.
"Robbie, don't say that. Okay, fine. He hasn't been the best father." Robbie scoffed, "But, he's trying now and that's all that matters." I don't even know how I even came to trying to convince Robbie to see dad, when I was trying to convince myself.
He sighed, and sat down on his bed. Yes, we were in his room. He scratched the back of his head awkwardly, "I'll think about it." I rolled my eyes and pointed towards his ticket,
"Well, you don't have long. It's this weekend." He waved me off, and I walked out of the door. When I stepped out my eyes met Josh's. He gave me a curious look and I shrugged,
"He said he'll think about it." Josh nodded and grabbed my hand,
"There's some people I want you to meet." He dragged me downstairs and into the living room. I was about to ask who I was meeting when I saw a group of people sitting in the living room.
I turned to Josh but he just sent me a smile. When we approached the people they all stood up and sent me a smile.
"Charlotte, this is your hair stylist Cocoa." Cocoa was beautiful, with ebony skin, and hazel eyes. Her dark brown hair was cut to her chin, and it framed her face. She smiled at me and I smiled back,
"And, this is Aggie her assistant." Her assistant was small, with light blonde hair, and dark brown eyes. We exchanged quick smiles, before Josh moved on. He pointed towards a guy, who stood awkwardly on the side. But, he was checking me out. I blushed about to say something when Josh cut in,
"Charlotte, this is Arnold, and he will be your wedding dress designer. And, don't mind him. He's just looking for measurements. He can give a person one glance and know their exact size." I nodded and smiled at Arnold, he gave an awkward wave. And, I wanted nothing more than to pinch his cheeks.
"Finally, we have Clara. She is in charge of your wardrobe. The future mrs. Castro can't walk around looking like a hobo." I glared at Josh, and he raised his hands in surrender. Did he really say that?
"Josh, I should knee you in the-"
"Why are they here? Good question. Well, this is your surprise. My dad has been pressuring me to marry you as soon as I can. And, I thought, 'What the hey.' The quicker were married, the happier I'll be. So, today you're going to find your wedding dress." My eyes grew wide,
"But-But-"
"Don't worry, Penelope and Anna will be here any second now. They already knew, but under my orders they did not tell you." I was still shocked, I looked over at the group who smiled at me,
"I will see you soon, Charlotte. I only came so I could see your hair and know what I'm working with." Cocoa said with a bright smile, showing off white teeth. I nodded, and Aggie gave a small wave before they walked out. Just like that.
I turned to Josh and raised an eyebrow, "You're serious. This is actually happening?" I asked, and he nodded. I frowned slightly, maybe this is going too fast-
