Chapter 25

"One more store." Penelope said, making me glare at her. My good mood, was long forgotten the moment we stepped foot into the mall. Sure, I tried to hang on to that good mood. But, then my feet started to hurt. So, goodbye to good mood.

"Nellie." I said, making her look at me, "We've been to at least fifty stores. My feet hurt. I have enough clothes, to fill two freaking closets. Can we at least eat or something?" I asked, pouting slightly. I had bags, that filled both of my arms. Which were starting to turn numb.

She sighed deeply, like she was the one carrying around a load of shopping bags. She gave me a look of defeat before nodding, "Okay. But, it has to be quick. Then we're going to this last shop." I looked at the clock, that was hanging in the store we were currently in.

I've been here for three hours. Poor Josh, waiting at my house. With my mom. I looked over at Penelope and gave her a sheepish smile,

"Actually, can we do a rain check. Josh is waiting at my home, with my mom." I added, the mom part so they could understand my urgency. They gave me a look of understanding, and nodded.

"Yeah, your mom can be pretty crazy sometimes." Anna said, with a nod of understanding. Penelope nodded in agreement. We walked towards the exit together.

"So, when you see Josh. Are you gonna tell him you love him?" Anna asked in a teasing tone. I rolled my eyes, and kept walking. I didn't tell them about my feelings for Josh. They just assumed. And, they assumed right. I just haven't confirmed it yet.

"I have no idea, what you guys are talking about. But, let's say I did love Josh. Hypothetically speaking, of course. If I loved Josh, I wouldn't tell him. For numerous reasons." I said, as we reached Penelope's car. They both looked at me in shock.

"You have to tell him, Charlotte. He has to know." Penelope said, once we got inside her car. I put my seatbelt on, and pondered over it. Nope. I can't tell Josh.

"I'm not telling Josh. Unless, he tells me first." I said with a shrug. Penelope and Anna shared a look, before turning back around. I think I even heard Anna mutter, "Stubborn girl."

The ride back home was interesting. One second it's quiet, the next Robin Thicke's, 'Blurred Lines.' came on, and suddenly the car was a party. Nellie, rolled the windows down, the wind was blowing our hair. An old lady even flicked us off, just for blasting our music.

My face was hurting so much, from smiling, by the time we got to my house. I noticed Josh's car parked in the driveway. I was getting ready to stand up, when Anna suddenly grabbed my arm,

"We're going bridesmaid shopping, this Friday. So, make sure you know what color you want the wedding to be." With that said, I got out of the car and they drove away.

I opened the door, and was immediately embraced in a hug. I pulled back to see mom giving me a sad smile, "I'm sorry, sweetie. Maybe, I shouldn't have given you the envelope." I shook my head, pushing thoughts about the envelope away.

"No mom, it's fine. I'm glad you gave it to me. Really." And, I actually meant that.

"Okay. Josh is in the game room with Robbie. I think you should check on them, I heard a bit of yelling." I nodded, and walked down the hall towards the game room.

"No no, that was a foul!" I heard Robbie shout. I chuckled quietly to myself, when I heard Robbie shout this.

"Please, you're just calling fouls, because you're losing." Josh smirked, "You're losing pretty badly actually. You sure, you're the king of this game." I walked into the room, and they didn't look. They were too engrossed into the basketball game to notice me.
