Chapter 27
"How does it look?" I asked, swirling around to face the girls. The looks on their faces said it all. And, the moment Anna opened her mouth, I instantly knew what she was gonna say,
"You. Look. Awful. Like a sheep, actually. What's with all those ruffles? I'm sure the dress would be beautiful....if you were in a who has the worst dress competition. I mean it just looks...horrendous." Penelope instantly nodded, looking at the dress in distaste,
"Dude, if you chose that dress my grandma would look better than you, at your own wedding." I frowned, before the two could continue to talk about the dress, I walked back into the changing room, immediately changing dresses.
I knew the dress had a few ruffles, that were definitely not my style. But I wanted to try something new. Big mistake. No more trying anything new, ever again.
This is what has been going on for the last two hours. I would put on a dress, Anna and Penelope would immediately turn it down. No hesitation. No second glances. They instantly started to bash the dress.
I put my clothes back on and walked out, "Okay, I'm taking a break. I'm in need of a burger. And, a bunch of fries. Anything, to get away from white dresses." The girls chuckled and Arnold looked amused. He nodded, and walked to the back. I watched as Penelope's eyes strayed to his butt while he walked away.
"Pervert." I smirked, and started to walk to the back. Penelope blushed, and she started to follow me. Anna rolled her eyes, but walked with us anyway.
"I was just admiring his back pockets." Penelope said, trying to keep a straight face. I shared a glance with Anna,
"Please, you were staring at his ass, Nellie. There is no need to lie, he had a pretty nice butt." I frowned slightly, commenting that I haven't ogled Arnold's butt.
"Well, maybe you don't want to cheat on Joshs butt. He has a lovely butt." We walked around and I frowned slightly at Anna,
"You should not be looking at Josh's butt. His butt is off limits, Anna." She looked over at me, and I knew what she was gonna say. I just knew.
"You're just jealous-"
"I'm actually hungry, so where are we eating?" I interrupted. We were walking around and we spotted a tiny restaurant. The smell of burgers drifted to my nostrils, making my stomach growl like some wild animal.
Anna raised an eyebrow, "I didn't know you were half lion." I rolled my eyes, and we walked to the restaurant. When we walked in, a little bell dinged. I jumped at the sound and Penelope chuckled.
"Can I help you, darlings?" An older woman said, smiling at us from the counter. She had dark brown hair, up in a ponytail. And, gray eyes. She had a a few wrinkles on her forehead, and a few laugh lines.
I looked over at the menu, "Can I have a cheeseburger. With, extra extra large fries. And, a coke." The lady smiled, and whipped out a notepad. She started to scribble, what I assumed was my order. She raised an eyebrow at the girls.
"I'll have the chicken salad, with a side of fries. And, some water." Penelope said, making me scrunch my face. Such a weird order. Anna sent Penelope a weird look, and I could tell she thought so too.
But, the lady wrote the order down anyway. "I want a cheeseburger, with fries. And, a side of mashed potatoes, with corn." I looked at her next, what is this? Dinner time?
She shrugged, "What? I'm hungry. But unlike Charlotte's animalistic stomach, my stomach is more calm, and patient." I rolled my eyes and sat down at a booth on the side. The girls sat down with me while the lady went in the back to give the chef our orders.
I looked around the restaurant, there were only a few people inside. A guy sitting on a stool, by the counter, was sipping coffee. A couple on another end, of the restaurant. They were giving each other lovey dovey looks. They looked a little older than us. College kids, probably.
"Wow. I've never been to this place before." Penelope muttered looking around the restaurant, "Anne's" She read aloud from the window, we were seated next to. I sighed and sat back,
"Uh, I want to talk to you guys about something." They looked at me expectantly. I felt my face heat up. I cleared my throat, "W-What am I....Uh, how am I suppose to...uh, what-"
"Spit it out already." Anna said impatiently, I sighed,
"Whatamisupposetodoonmyweddingnight?" I asked really fast. The girls seem confused,
"Repeat that. But, slowly." Penelope said, and I sighed,
"What am I suppose to do on my wedding night?" I asked slowly, and Penelope and Anna shared a glance before laughing. I groaned, and banged my head on the table.
"Guys it's not funny." I said with my head still on the table. I could still hear their laughter,
"Oh, but it is." Anna said as she continued to laugh. I sighed,
"Come on, guys. I'm serious...what am I suppose to do?" Finally they sobered up, and looked at me. Anna shrugged,
"Theres only one thing you can do, with a guy like Josh Castro." I waited, "You tap that!" Anna exclaimed and suddenly everyone in the restaurant turned to look at us. I blushed and glared at Anna who shrugged,
"What?" And, at that moment our food came and talks of that were done. Until Penelope cleared her throat,
"Actually, even though Josh Castro is and will always be a sex god. You only...get down and dirty, when you're ready." Penelope said, and then she turned to her chicken salad, and started to munch on the lettuce.
I smiled, when I'm ready. When I'm ready. When I'm re-
"Charlotte?" Anna snapped. I looked up and she pointed at my food, "Are you gonna eat that?" My stomach rumbled, echoing throughout the restaurant. Again, people looked over, except this time at me. I quickly grabbed my burger, and started to eat.
