"We need to talk," he said and I literally felt my heart drop. What could it be? What now? I should probably be expecting stuff like this to happen, whatever it is. I mean I was freaking marrying someone I barely knew. My life went from expected to completely unexpected...in a matter of seconds.
"What now..." I said concerned. He put an arm around my waist and guided me outside where it was completely silent.
"There's something I need to warn you about..." he said looking concerned, "I just found out so don't get mad."
"What? Just spit it out," I said freaking out inside. What was is? Was there a fake story about me? Did his father hate me or something? Were they not allowing me into his country?
"My psychotic ex girlfriend is coming to town," he said really fast and I just stared at him...and started laughing. He looked at me confused. "Why are you laughing?" he snapped, "This is serious!"
"Yeah right," I managed to say through my laughs. "You made a big deal over an ex-girlfriend coming to town? You must have assumed I was stupid to think you haven't had girlfriends...plenty of them." Even though I did hate to think about it.
"You're forgetting the psychotic part," he added, "Mean, cruel, you name it."
"I'm not worried about any mean girl," I said, "You're forgetting I'm in high school, I've suffered my whole life being tortured by mean girls. I can handle myself."
"Well I'm just warning you," he added, "She was from my...darker days." He said with a shrug. I'm supposing those were the years he was frequently on the cover of magazines and it was likely the year he got arrested at the party...but of course he got away with it.
"I can handle it," I said confidently. I could handle mean girls, I was over being afraid of people. "Why is she prettier than me or something?" I added with a smirk.
"Of course not," he replied with a smile.
Later that evening
I was going to kill Josh! Yes he told me his psychotic ex-girlfriend was coming to town, but he never told me it was that same night! I was rushing around my room trying to get ready. Of course my best friends were out at a party and I never even had time to call them and ask them to help. I had nothing to wear, didn't know what to do with my hair. I was stressing out. "Why is she even coming again?" I yelled to Josh who was waiting outside my door.
"I told you already," he mumbled annoyed, "She's crazy and tries to ruin things. Don't listen to anything she says to you."
"Why are you nice to her again?" I pointed out, "Why did you say yes to her invite to dinner?"
"Because I have to!" Josh yelled.
"Why?" I asked. He 'has' too. Josh makes up his own rules, he doesn't listen to anyone...or so I thought.
"Her father works with my father." Josh said. Wow, perfect. She was rich too. "She's his only child, if I do anything to upset her he would take it out on my father and my families money."
Once I was completely dressed, to the best of my ability, we left to go meet this girl at one of the nicest restaurants in town. Josh figured it was best for us to meet with her in public...which actually started to get me to wonder what exactly was wrong with her.
We arrived there and there was paparazzi outside, but I was used to that. They were everywhere. Josh also told me his crazy ex tweeted about it. There were even a couple of bystanders looking like they wanted autographs and pictures. When I stepped out of the car someone yelled, "Josh Castro!" Well lots of people.
