Chapter 18
"She's a bitch." Penelope announced, and I quickly shushed her. We were at this fancy resturaunt. Where they served fancy steaks and snails. Anna thought it would be good to have a girls day. And, here we are.
"What? She's nice, I swear." Anna and Penelope shook their heads. I told them about Josh's ex and that was their immediate response. Is it just me? I swear she was nice.
"Char, trust me on this. I know bitches. And, this Skylar chick is the bitchest bitch I've ever heard of in my life. How can you not see it?" Anna asked, raising an eyebrow at me. I raised an eyebrow,
"She didn't give me a reason to believe she was a bitch. She seemed pretty unbitchy to me." I said shrugging. Penelope shook her head in disappointment,
"Poor naive Charlotte, that's her plan. She wants you to believe that she's nice. It's all apart of her plan to take your man." I gasped and immediately shook my head. Then I thought back to the kiss on the cheek she gave him. That's an UK thing, right?
"Please, Josh hates her. He wouldn't want to be anywhere near her." I said with confidence. Anna had a thoughtful look on her face,
"That does make sense. But, just listen to us. She's a bad person. Shes planning something. Josh was right." I frowned, I hate it when Josh is right.
"Here are your meals, ladies. If there is anything else I can get you don't be afraid to ask." The waiter said winking at Anna. She smirked as he slipped her a napkin. I rolled my eyes, as Penelope giggled behind her hand.
When he walked away we turned to Anna. She raised an eyebrow, "What?" We shook our hands and finished our meals. When we were done we decided to move this party to my house to have a movie day.
"I think we should invite the guys." Penelope said when got to my house. I raised an eyebrow at her,
"I thought this was a girls day-"
"It was. Not anymore, we had our girl talk. But, now it's movie time. And, we always have the guys over when we watch movies." I nodded slowly, but I could tell Penelope was hiding something. And, judging by the look on Anna's face she could tell too.
"Okay." I took out my phone to call the guys when Penelope looked over at me with a smirk, "And, invite Josh. Something tells me this is gonna be an interesting movie day." I rolled my eyes but called Josh anyway.
"Hello?" He asked after a few rings. I smiled into the phone,
"Hey, am I calling you at a bad time?" Josh quickly reassured me that he wasn't busy at all,
"So, what's up?" He asked. I bit my lip, something I did when I was nervous. What if he says no. I'm sure he has something better to do then hang out with a bunch of teenagers.
"Uh....we're having a movie night at my house. And, I was wondering if you would like to come too." I said softly. I have no idea why I'm acting shy on the phone. Or, why I'm acting shy at all. I mean this is Josh were talking about.
"Sure. I would love to, it could be our second date." I eyes grew as wide as saucers. Second date? Date?
"I don't even remember the first date. Which was?" I asked and I could tell Josh rolled his eyes,
"It involved ice cream." I scoffed, that was our first date? No.
"No. That was just us eating ice cream. I demand a real first date. A normal one. One that doesn't involve meeting parents or ex's. I want a real first date." I said blushing slightly. Josh chuckled, and I frowned. This is not funny.
