Camilo POV

"Yes" she says and walks away.

"Don't sweat it amigo" Mateo says and we follow them. We catch up to them and I look for Y/n. Dolores puts down a mouse and it changes into Y/n. She smiles at me and I feel my cheeks warm. We sit down and I load up on food, I'm sitting across from her, Antonio on my right and Dolores on my left.

"So Y/n, what's your gift?" Mamma asks

"I can shift into any animal" She says and I see Antonio perks up, he's an animal guy.
"Can you talk to them?" He asks and she smiles
"Sadly I can not, but they do understand me"
"That's so cool" He takes a bite of food.
"And Mateo?" Pa asks, Mateo is mid bite

"He can speak to the dead" Y/n answers for him and he nods

"How does that work?" Luisa asks
"Well most of the time someone from our village will ask to speak to a parent or a significant other so I'll ask if deceased would like to speak, if they agree then I just act as a messenger between the two"
"That must be tiring, no?" Tia Julieta asks and he smiles

"Sometimes, but I don't mind as long as people are happy"

"Y/n?" Antonio asks
"Si?"
"Can you shift into any animal?"
"I can"
"Like a bunny?"

"I've never tried it"
"Try" Antonio says

"I will after lunch"

"Please show us now, I'm curious" Abuela says

"Are you sure? I'm happy to wait" She's so polite, I would have just shown them already.

"I insist" Y/n looks at Senora Maria for approval and she nods. Y/n stands up and shifts into a bunny. Mateo picks her up and Antonio sits up

"Can I hold her?" Antonio asks and she nods. Mateo carefully passes her to Antonio and he examines her.

"That is so cool" Mirabel says and Lusia carefully pets Y/n.

"You're so soft" She says "Feel her" and she's passed to Isabela, she pets her and smiles. She's put down and shifts back and she falltens her hair and walks back to her seat. After lunch we all sit in a room while Abuela and Mateo go to speak to Abuelo.

"A bird?" Pa asks, challenging her
"What kind?" Her eyes glint with excitement
"A dove" she shifts into a dove and hops around "A monkey" she shifts "A fox" she shifts " A kola" she shifts "A hedgehog" He says, standing up
"Amor sit" Mamma says, with a rainbow over her head and Pa does. She walks around as a hedgehog and an 'awe' escapes my mouth.

"What was that hermano?" Dolores asks, her eyebrows raised. Shit. Shit. "What? She's a hedgehog, hedgehogs are cute" I say and cross my arms, hedgehogs are cute so is Y/n but that's not the point. I talk with Gabriela and she's a very nice lady, reminds me of Dolores, shy but once you get to talking very social and happy.
