Y/n POV

"Can you shift into any animal?" Dolores asks
"Yep"

"Alright, let's see. A mouse" I snicker and shift into a mouse. She picks me up and keeps walking.
"Dolores, where did Y/n go?" Mateo asks and she holds me up. She puts me down and I shift into myself. We go to the table and I put food. I sit beside Mateo and across from Camilo, Mirabel on my other side.

"So Y/n, what's your gift?" Senora Pepa asks

"I can shift into any animal" I say and Antionos eyes light up
"Can you talk to them?" He asks and I smile
"Sadly I can not, but they do understand me" he smiles
"That's so cool" He takes a bite of food.
"And Mateo?" Senor Felix asks, Mateo is mid bite

"He can speak to the dead" I answer for him and he nods

"How does that work?" Luisa asks
"Well most of the time someone from our village will ask to speak to a parent or a significant other so I'll ask if deceased would like to speak, if they agree then I just act as a messenger between the two"

"That must be tiring, no?" Senora Julieta asks and he smiles

"Sometimes, but I don't mind as long as people are happy"

"Y/n?" Antonio asks and I nod
"Si?"
"Can you shift into any animal?"
"I can"
"Like a bunny?"

"I've never tried it"
"Try" Antonio says

"I will after lunch"

"Please show us now, I'm curious" Senora Alma says

"Are you sure? I'm happy to wait"

"I insist" I look at Abuela and she nods. I stand up and shift into a bunny. Mateo picks me up.

"Can I hold her?" Antonio asks and I nod. Mateo carefully passes me to Antonio and he examines me.

"That is so cool" Mirabel says and Lusia gently pets me.

"You're so soft" She says "Feel her" and I'm passed to Isabela, she pets me and smiles. I'm put down and I shift back and flatten my hair. I walk back to my seat and we continue eating. After lunch Senora Alma and Mateo go into a room to talk to Senor Madrigal and I sit in a room with everyone else.

"A bird?" Felix challenges me
"What kind?"
"A dove" I shift into a dove and hop around "A monkey" I shift "A fox" I shift " A kola" I shift "A hedgehog" He says, standing up
"Amor sit" Pepa says, with a rainbow over her head and Felix does. I stay a hedgehog for a little bit and Camilo 'awes'

"What was that hermano?" Dolores asks
"What? She's a hedgehog, hedgehogs are cute" He says defensively and I internally laugh. I shift into myself and sit beside Mirabel. My head pounds, I don't normally shift that fast.

"That's amazing Y/n" Pepa says and I smile
