Camilo POV

I jog to her and Miguel attacks her in a hug and lifts her off the ground. She smiles and he whispers something, she turns to me and hugs me around the neck.

"New scars?" I ask and she laughs, her cheek is very faint, her arm more noticeable.

"Of course" she shows me, it must've been deep if Tia healed it and it still left a scar. I grab her hand and she smiles at me. Silence falls over us, this is awkward. I pull Y/n to the group of kids and they all run up to her and yell stuff at her.
"You're popular" I whisper and she laughs, I love her laugh.

"Can we play?" a girl asks

"I'm still really tired, tomorrow I promise" They all agree and run off. We sit down on the fountain, Miguel with us.
"Are you okay?" I ask and she nods "you can tell me anything" she gives me a smile that makes my stomach fill up with butterflies.

"I know," she says sweetly and squeezes my hand.

"You can tell me anything too" Miguel and she looks at him, my smile drops. Why is he here?

"I know," she says quickly and turns to me. "Camilo can I talk to you?" she asks and I nod, we leave Miguel on the fountain and walk up to Casita.

"What did you want to talk about?" I ask and I sit down in the shade outside. I know she doesn't like being inside.

"We can go inside if you want"

"Nah, it's okay I know you like being outside" she smiles and drops beside me "so what's up?"
"Nothing" She shrugs and I laugh slightly

"Nothing?"
"Yeah, I love Miguel but he can be alot" She sighs and leans on me. She loves him? "He's just like Mateo but worse believe it or not" I laugh. I'm in the clear.

"I'm glad you're okay" I say

"Why wouldn't I be okay?"

"Are you kidding? You ran off in the middle of the day as soon as you heard your village was being attacked. You came back with your arm and face bleeding. Of course I was worried sick about you" I say, it's the truth.

"Aw you care about me" she laughs and I drop her hand, I'm not mad, I just like being an ass. "Wha.." she starts and I walk away "Camilo" she grabs my sleeve I turn and lift her up

"Of course I care about you dummy" I say and she laughs, her cheeks pink.

"Well I care about you too" she says sweetly and pokes my nose. I smile at her and she smiles at me.
"Oh my god just kiss him already!" Mateo yells from the bushes, she turns red

"Mateo" Dolores hisses and pulls him down.
"Oh my gosh" She mutters and I drop her, my arms still around her.

"They ruined the moment didn't they?" I laugh and she puts her forehead on my chest

"They did" she mumbles

"Ow" Mateo yells, he groans and walks into the house.

"Dolores go inside!" I say at the bushes and Y/n laughs, she stands up and swiftly walks inside, grabs Mateos ear and drags him away.

"They're embarrassing aren't they?" Y/n asks and I laugh

"Thousand percent" I agree. We go inside the house and set the table.
