After the Party

Y/n POV

I see Mateo hurry after them and I walk back into Antonio's room. Camilo pulls me onto the dance floor and spins me around. I laugh and look at him, I feel safe with him, like I can be myself and he won't judge. After a few songs a slow song plays. He takes his hand away from my waist but I grab it.

"Dance with me?" I ask shyly and a smile grows on his face
"Of course" He wraps his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck. I can feel my face is red. Why wouldn't it be? Camilo is sweet, funny, caring and attractive. I put my head on his shoulder and we sway to the music. I just feel so comfortable with him. I feel something on my hair and my eyes widen. He kissed my hair. My heart races and I feel butterflies in my stomach. Calm down, Y/n, just calm down. You literally kissed his cheek. I close my eyes and smile to myself. After a few slow songs play I look at him

"I should go look for Mirabel"

"Probably" Camilo says, I smile at him and walk away. I walk into the kitchen and see Mirabel leaning against the counter

"Hola" I smile and she sighs

"You believe me right?" Mirabel asks, holding onto my shoulders. I do, she wouldn't ruin Antonios night. I nod and she smiles wildly "great! I need your help"

"With what?"
"We're gonna save the miracle"
"Save a- how are we going to save a miracle Mirabel?" I ask, hands on my hips.

"I haven't figured that part out yet"

"That's like the most important part" I say and she nods
"I know, I know. But you'll help me?" I bite my cheek,

"As long as I don't die and no one gets hurt" I say and she hugs me
"Promise" I lead her back to the party and I see Camilo and Mateo talking. Mirabel laughs and pulls me to the dance floor. She spins me around and I laugh. Eventually the party dies down and I help clean up, I collect dishes and dump them in the sink.

"Mija go shift before bed" Mamma says, hugging me. I walk out of the Madrigal house and shift into a cat. I chase a fly and then walk into my room and jump on my bed. I curl up into a ball and lay on my pillow. Someone scratches my head and I meow

"Y/n, shift back" Mateo says and I do "goodnight Hermana"

"Buenas noches" I mumble and I feel a blanket on me. I wake up and stretch. My hands throb and I groan and put my face on my pillow. I'm so sore everywhere. I get up and put on a red skirt that stops at my knees and a white tank top. The skirt has a toucan pattern along the bottom. My back is killing me. I stretch again and shake out my hair, I tie my sandals and walk outside. I shift into a puma and run around the forest. I jog up to the table and shift into myself, I feel better already. I sit in my spot and smile at everyone. I load up and Alma starts her speech

"I spoke to the Guzmans about Isabela's engagement, Dolores, do we have a date?" Alma asks standing behind Isabela

"Tonight, he wants five babies" Dolores says with no emotion and Isabela chokes on water. Five children? That's too much, Camilo changes into a man who I assume is Isabelas soon to be fiancé. He makes a kissy face at her and she smacks flowers on his face. I laugh slightly and take a bite of food

"As for Y/n" Alma says and pulls my hair behind my shoulders. What about me?
