Sacrifice?

Y/n POV

Mateo leads me out of the kitchen as people run out. We go in to our room and I shake out my hair
"What just happened?" He asks and I shift again. I groan and change into a blue skirt that stops at my calfs that has dolphins on it, with a white shirt. I flop on my bed while he changes.

"I just want to stop shifting"  I whine and he sits on my bed.
"I know hermana" He says and rubs my back.

"I'm going for a run" I mutter and leave the house. I shift into a puma and run around the forest, I shift into myself by accident and cut my ankle. I walk back and see Mirabel and Isabela laying in the main room on a pile of flowers.

"What is going on?" Alma asks and Camilo appears beside me, Mateo is with Mom and Dad. I start forward when Camilo wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me against him, my stomach does many flips. Mirabel and Alma argue and a giant crack appears between them. Mirabel climbs up and I sprint up the stairs. I jump on the railing and grab the roof. I have to get to Mirabel, I pull myself up and drag her away from the windowsill. She looks terrified.  I snactch the candle, shove it in her hands and push her, she slides down the roof, furniture crowds around her and I shift into a bird and fly away. I made it out I sigh with relief. I turn into myself. I hear Camilo shriek, I scream and fall into the ruins. Wind rushes around me, my hair and clothes snapping in the wind and I land on the stairs, I tumble down them and a tower falls towards me. I scream again and scramble out of the way. Something hits my back and sends me to the ground, something cuts my leg. I squeeze my eyes shut and shift into a small animal, I drag myself away and shift back. I lay on my side and bite my lip. Oh my god. I'm dead, I died.

"Y/n!" Mamma screams

"Y/n!" Mateo calls. I hear footsteps and someone moves rubble away from me.

"Y/n!" Camilo yells and someone grabs my hand and pulls me towards them. Dust fills the air. Camilo holds me and pushes the hair out of my face.

"You're an idiot" he says and hugs me tightly. He picks me up and carries me out of the rubble. He gently puts me on the ground and Mateo runs at me

"You're so stupid!" He yells and attacks me in a hug. "I hate you" he says and wipes my face
"Oh god you're bleeding" Camilo says, my skirt has a rip in it and behind that is a cut three inches long on my thigh. I look away
"Mija," Mamma says and kisses my face. She rips a part of her shawl and wraps it around my cut. "What were you thinking?" Pa asks

"I was helping Mirabel, she was going to kill herself" I say and Camilo holds onto my hand tightly. They go and help Abuela, I lean on Camilo.
"You could have died" He says and I chuckle lightly
"I know"
"I could have lost you" He says and I look at him, I smile and he gently holds my chin. I want to kiss him. His eyes widen and he looks away.
