Mirabel nervously smiles at me as Antonio clings to her arm. I send her a reassuring smile and she takes a deep breath. They walk up the stairs and Camilo crushes my hand in his. I can't hear when Alma is saying but Antoino is nodding. He touches the door handle and the candle glows brighter. I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding and a toucan lands on Antonio's arm
"Uh huh, uh huh I understand you" He smiles "of course they can come" and with that tons of animals scamper up the stairs. Camilo pulls me up to his room and we walk it. It's a giant jungle with a huge tree house in the center. It's like I'm at home. The Madrigals take a photo and music plays. I pull Mateo on the dance floor and spin him around, he then spins me and we laugh. I dance with Camilo when Mirabel runs onto the dance floor
"The candle's in danger! There were cracks on the walls, the candle almost went out" She says out of breath, Alma wraps her shawl around her
"Show me" She says and I follow her. There's nothing, no cracks, the candle isn't flickering. Nothing.
"I-I swear" She says looking around, I look at her, I believe her and Alma laughs
"The magic is strong" she says "and so are the drinks, music please" She says and the music starts up again. I frown at her and Camilo takes my hand
"She'll be okay" and I see Julieta walk down to her daughter but I feel like a bad friend if I leave her. I see Mateo hurry after them and I walk back into Antonio's room.
