Gifts Fading?

Camilo POV

"As for Y/n" She starts, Y/n's expression drops and her hand twitches "she and my darling-"
"Mamma, not yet" Mami says and smiles at Y/n, she forces a smile and whispers to her brother. What is Abuela planning and why does it involve Y/n? After breakfast is done, I go to the kitchen and start the sink when I hear Mamma and Abuela whispering.

"Do you know what that was about?" I ask and she's watching our mothers and Abueals leave the room. It's just us and our fathers

"Look kids" Pa says "we don't agree with what they're planning but we'll fight for you" and with that they walk upstairs.

"They'll fight for us?" I ask and she laughs

"They're planning something" she says and takes a plate from my hands.

"They're probably marrying us off" I joke and she laughs, I love her laugh

"Could you imagine?" She shakes her head, I laugh. We fall into silence, I see Mirabel run in and grab Y/n and drag her out. I laugh and finish the dishes. I walk out and see Y/n clinging onto the railing

"You okay?" she looks worried

"Mhm!" She lets go and Casita pushes her, she shifts into a bird and flaps before shifting into herself and falling. She screams and crashes to the floor. I rush over to her and she looks hurt. I pull her up and hold her arms, I hold on tight.
"What was that?" Why did she shift mid air?

"I can't control it" She whispers and looks away, my heart pounds.

"What?" She can't control her gift? I pick her up, one arm under her knees with the other on her back and walk.

"I can walk" she mutters

"You clearly can't" She stays quiet, she's not heavy but I'm not strong, I didn't think this through. I take her into the kitchen "Tia!" I yell, Tia Juleita can heal her. Y/n jumps up and covers my mouth, my cheeks are on fire
"What are you doing?" she hisses "you can't tell anyone" her eyes are full with worry. I grab her wrist gently and move her hand, she's worried
"Okay" I say and she sighs and sits down. She shifts three times into a puma, squirrel and an animal I don't recognize. She holds her head in her hands and I sit beside her, hand on her back. I want to help her, I want to take away her pain.

"What is it?" Tia runs in

"I twisted my ankle" Y/n says with a forced smile
"Aye, here" Tia says and hands Y/n an arepa

"Gracias" Tía leaves. Y/n takes a bite and looks sad, I would be sad to. She suddenly stands up "I need to find my mom" She says and leaves. I run after her
"I'm coming with you"

"No your not"
"Yes I am, what if you shift and hurt yourself again?" I shoot at her and she glares at me. She shifts into a fox and a dog and mutters something. She's panicking, I grab her hand and she intertwines her fingers with mine.

"Mamma!" She yells and our mothers run up to us. Mami with a bright rainbow over her head, and she starts smothering Y/n in kisses. What is happening?
