Y/n POV

"It's not your fault, plus it's another cool scar" I grin and she laughs. A short man with long curly hair, green tatter ruana walks up.

"That's Tio Bruno" she whispers and I nod, her arm around my waist. He starts apologizing for everything, I feel bad for the guy, it sounds like he didn't do anything. Everyone looks around lost and I see Mariano leading the town up. I smile and wave at him, he smiles and he starts giving everyone jobs. I start cleaning up the rubble with Luisa

"Do you still have your gift?" I bite my cheek, I was avoiding that question.

"I'm not sure" I say slowly

"Try" I frown and try to shift, nothing. I picture a smooth, regal black puma and I squeeze my eyes shut. I open them and I've shifted, I run around happily. I rub past Camilo

"Shift back now" He demands and I sit down "you're going to hurt your leg" I stick out my tongue and run away. I shift back and walk to Luisa. I finish cleaning and people start laying bricks down.

"Y/n" Mariano calls and I go over to him "go on my shoulders"
"Why?"
"We need taller people" He crouches down and I sit on his shoulders, a man passes me bricks and I lay them down, thank god I have shorts under this skirt. I see Camilo giggling and me and I flip him off, he makes an offended face and blows me a kiss. After I finished laying the bricks Marinao carefully puts me down and I smile at him
"Thanks"

"Of course"
"You'll make an amazing Madrigal" he says kindly and walks away. I chose to ignore the last part. A woman calls me over
"Do you think you can take this away?" She asks and I shift into an eagle and pick up the bag of bricks and fly them to the other side of the house. I put them down and Pepa smiles at me. I flap off, why was my gift spazzing out? I shift into myself once I'm on the ground.

A few days go by and the Madrigal casa is back. Well except for the magic. We give Mirabel a door handle and she puts it in, the house comes to life and waves at us. Camilo laughs and hugs me tightly, music starts up and he shifts into me, he laughs again, shifting back and picks me up, spinning me around. My face is on fire, the house pulls us in and everyone gets their gifts back. The Madrigals take a picture and everyone starts dancing, Mateo spins me around. He's happy and I'm happy. I dance to the best of my ability.

"Thank you" Mirabel says and hugs me

"For what?"
"Saving me" She mumbles and I hug her
"Well I certainly wasn't just going to watch you and your also sorta one of my best friends so" I say and she laughs. After the party dies down I go to my room with Mateo. I peel away the bandage, the cuts mostly healed, I will have a scar.

"Why don't I get scars?"' Mateo whines and I change into my pajamas, shorts and a tank top, I pull on a sweatshirt and put my hair in a bun.

"Trust me, you don't want them" I laugh and he rolls his eyes

"But they're so cool" He says and I walk out of my room. I pass Julieta and she leads me into the kitchen
"Let me see your leg" I prop my leg on a chair "it's healing nicely. Do you want something to eat?" She asks and I smile

"It's okay, I like them healing naturally" She nods and kisses my hair
"Good night"
"Night Senora"

"Julieta" I smile

"Goodnight Julieta" I say and she walks out. I continue outside and shift into a puma, that's my favorite, my go to. I jog into the woods and jump over logs and small creeks. I walk back and see Camilo sitting outside.
