Jungkook laid in his king sized bed, above the covers, staring at the ceiling. He imagined what it would be like if he could just sink into his bed, and fall through it into a never ending black hole until the end of time. That would be nice. His bones felt heavy, and his head throbbed from all of last nights champagne. Bam, Jungkook's two and a half month old chocolate doberman, was asleep at his feet, snoring peacefully.

Why do I always say such stupid things when I'm drunk? Jungkook groaned, rolling over onto his stomach, pressing his face into his pillows. He punched his mattress in frustration, and sat up, pulling on his messy black hair. He dragged his hands over his tired face and scrubbed the light stubble on his chin. When did that grow in?

Bam looked up at him, ears pulled back in annoyance at Jungkook for waking him up. Jungkook scratched between Bam's ears. "Sorry, bud." He said, giving his dog a kiss on the head.

Jungkook rolled off his bed onto the ground, lowering himself into plank position. He began doing one handed push ups, his mind still replaying the image of Taehyung's face last night when Jungkook had made some dumbass comment about Min-Jun.

21, 21, 23, why did I say that? 25,26,27, I'm such a jerk. 29,30,31. . .  He continued doing push ups angrily, sweat dripping down his bare back to the hem of his grey sweat pants.

He got up once he'd reached 100 push ups, breathless but full of energy now. He checked the clock on his nightstand. 6:02 am. He sighed. He needed to leave for work in an hour. Dread filled his gut as he thought about seeing Taehyung today.

He hopped in the shower, turning on his angry music and trying to get all the memories from last night out of his head. The way Taehyung had looked at him when he grabbed his tie. . . the flush of his cheeks as they stared at each other.

Jungkook heard his phone buzzing on the bathroom counter, and he got out of the shower quickly, wrapping a towel around his waist and grabbing his phone, heart pounding.

Could it be...oh, it's Jimin.

"Hey, what's up?" Jungkook asked, answering the phone. He grabbed another towel and began drying his hair, walking out into his room.

"Hey, bro. I'm on my way to work, but I don't start for another forty minutes, do you want to get some coffee?" Jimin asked, and Jungkook could hear the sounds of the highway in the background.

Jungkook had known Jimin since he was 14, since the two went to the same school. Jungkook never actually set out to be friends with him, it just sort of happened that way when Jimin refused to leave Jungkook alone. They'd stayed friends all through university, and even enlisted to do their military service together two years ago. Jimin became a nurse, working at one of Seoul's best research and surgery hospitals, making sure to pop in and visit Jungkook at school after almost every shift.

Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck with his towel. "Uh, sure. I have some time." He said, grabbing a Dior suit and dress shirt from his walk-in closet.

"Awesome! Meet me at Seoulism in ten?" Jimin asked.

Jungkook checked his watch. "In ten? Ok, sounds good." He said. He was glad Jimin had called; he needed someone to rant to about what a jerk he's been.

He hung up his phone and sighed, getting dressed. He styled his off his forehead and sprayed his Gucci Guilty: Pour Homme cologne on his throat. He looked at his reflection in the mirror, glad to see the bruise on his cheek was fading already. He traced his fingers over it's heart-like shape, wincing as he remembered the powerful blow to Taehyung's jaw he'd delivered.
