"'Stay', I whispered, as you shut the door behind you." - Rupi Kaur
"What's up, gay loser?" Taehyung said as he took a seat on the bar stool next to Yoongi. His friend took a long sip of his beer and raised and eyebrow at Taehyung.
"Gay loser was the best you could come up with?" Yoongi asked, shaking his head. "Now I am really concerned for you. You must be going through a lot."
Taehyung shoved him. "Says the dying one."
"But you're already emotionally dead so who's really losing here?"
"Fair."
"Sorry bro." Yoongi finished his beer and pushed the empty glass away. "And don't worry; I put that beer on your tab already."
Taehyung sighed, giving his best friend a loving stare. "I've missed you, Yoongi."
Yoongi smiled. "That's gay." He said softly, giving Tae a clap on the back. "But I've missed you too."
They were in their go-to bar, The Griffin Bar. They came here together on the first night they both moved to Seoul, and they've been coming here together ever since. It was normally packed by four pm every day, but today it was nearly empty, and it was already six pm. The two sat at the bar, hunched over the counter facing into each other, like a perfect pair of introverts.
"So what was with all those urgent texts today at lunch time?" Yoongi asked. "Something about it was the beginning of the end, or something dramatic like that?"
Taehyung groaned and waved the bartender over. "Can I have a few rounds of soju shots, please?" He asked, and the bartender nodded. Taehyung turned back to Yoongi.
"I am going to need to drink to get through this." He explained. "But what I was saying earlier was that I have a very big problem. Like a massive problem. A giant problem."
Yoongi nodded, thinking. "I would ask if the problem was your dick, but when you describe it like that I am going to say that's definitely not it, then."
Taehyung punched his friend on the shoulder, and carried on. "So, I already told you about my new boss, Jeon Jungkook-"
"Don't tell me you like him now? I thought he was an ass?"
"It's worse than that. I don't like him, Yoongi. I had a dream about him." Taehyung glanced around and then lowered his voice. "Like, a dirty dream about him."
Yoongi's eyes widened. "Oh." He let out a long breath. "That's not good. The only person you've ever had dirty dreams about are Jack Dawson from The Titanic and Draco Malfoy."
Taehyung thanked the bartender as he handed him the plate of shots. He took a cup and chugged it back, exhaling sharply at the burn of the alcohol going down his throat.
"Yeah, I know." He said. "Honestly, I mean, I knew he was good looking, and I was aware that I might be attracted to him. . . but I didn't know it was this bad. I might have a serious problem on my hands now."
"You don't think you'll be able to look him in the eyes without picturing what happened in your dream, right?" Yoongi asked, grabbing a shot for himself and sucking it back.
"Nope. I got off work earlier and practically ran from the building before I could accidentally run into him. I sped home and showered all that ridiculous blonde dye from earlier out of my hair and then proceeded to have a nervous break down until you were free to meet up." Taehyung replied. He was glad they had the bar to themselves for now. He lowered his voice again, "I am afraid the next time I see him I'm going to get hard or something."
