"To perceive is to suffer." - Aristotle
"Le compte parisien? Oui, bien sur, nous continuons a le faire. Bien sur, nous devrons en discuter davantage lors de conference a Saint Tropez." Taehyung said, pacing around his office with the phone to his ear. He was on a call with the chairman of Agences Cora France, Pierre Dubois, discussing their yearly meeting in St. Tropez for next marketing launch ideas for the company, and Golden Violet.
Pierre sighed. "On pourra en reparler plus a paris, non? Peut-etre vaudra-t-il mieux attendre Monsieur Jeon."
Taehyung grimaced at the mention of Jungkook's name as Pierre suggested they wait to finish this conversation until Jungkook was present.
"Oui, Monsieur Dubois." Taehyung replied before hanging up the phone and collapsing into this office chair with a long sigh. After he and Yoongi had hung for a bit and had some coffee, Yoongi instructed Taehyung to go home, get changed and try to relax and take his mind off everything. Yoongi suggested reading, or TV, but Taehyung knew none of those things would help calm his stress, so he left to do the one thing he knew would: work.
Sang-Hoon was at the office, of course, (he practically lived and breathed Cora Agencies, and personal time off seemed to be very unattainable for him, even on the weekends when he wasn't getting paid, ) and Taehyung told him to fetch him some paper work to keep him busy.
After and hour or two, Pierre called, meaning Taehyung had to spend the next forty minutes listening to that man rant about his new grape garden in his summer home in Normandy, and ask how Taehyung's and Min-Jun's relationship was going. That part actually almost made Taehyung laugh.
There was a knock at the door, dragging Taehyung out of his self pity for second. Sang-Hoon strode in, holding coffee and a tray of food for lunch. He placed it on Taehyung's desk and handed him some chopsticks and a napkin.
"Tteokbokki for you today, sir." Sang-Hoon hummed, clapping his hands together. "Mr. Wang ordered it for you because I told him you were having one of your bad days."
Taehyung smiled. "That's everyday, but you can tell him I say thank you. Do you have my medication?"
Sang-Hoon handed Taehyung two small pills. "Thanks," Taehyung said, taking the antidepressants with a swig of water. He winced as the pills dragged down his throat.
There was another knock on the door, and Jackson, or Mr. Wang, pushed open Taehyung's office door and waltzed in, looking gorgeous and beautifully put-together in a crisp, brown Armani suit.
"Hey, bro." Jackson said as he came and took the seat in front of Taehyung's desk, scooching it up further so that their heads were closer. Sang-Hoon took this as his cue to leave.
"Hey," Taehyung replied, digging into his food, not looking up at Jackson.
Jackson had worked at Cora as long as Taehyung, and he was originally from their US branch, but corporate relocated him to the Seoul building at Mrs. Jeon's request, because she heard that he was the best at his job and hired him as Korea Branch's Vice CEO. Jackson and Taehyung soon became close friends, both being new to the CEO life, and kind of looked after each other since. Actually, Jackson used to date Taehyung's therapist, Namjoon, for two and a half years, but they broke up and decided to be friends after realising they wanted to lead such different lives.
"Sang-Hoon said you looked like you wanted to die when you came in today. What's up?" Jackson said, stealing a sip of Taehyung's coffee.
