      "But I mean, why are there so many pigeons?" Jungkook asked as he pulled his jeans on. Taehyung watched Jungkook change into his clothes from his seat on their hotel bed, running a comb through his thick black hair and laughing at his adorable boyfriend.

Jungkook laughed too. "No, I mean it. Like, everywhere you try to walk, you have one of these little beady eyed birds looking up at you like they are just waiting for you to empty your pockets for them." He huffed. He turned to narrow his eyes at Taehyung. "And you didn't even help when they tried to eat me alive."

They'd been in New York for three days, exploring as much as the city as they could between meetings. Yesterday morning, Taehyung gave Jungkook a little tour of Central Park, as they walked through it with their morning coffees, and Jungkook got harrassed by a swarm of pigeons who'd followed them all the way from the bagel stand to try and snatch Jungkook's everything bagel with cream cheese. It was kind of hilarious, and instead of helping him, Taehyung filmed the majority of the whole assault.
Taehyung shook his head at his boyfriend, sliding off the bed and wandering over to him, wrapping his arms around Jungkook's small waist and pulling him in with a happy sigh.
"Eat you alive? You're dramatic, you know."
Jungkook chuckled, burying his face in Taehyung's neck. "I am but that's why you love me, right?"
It was Taehyung's turn to laugh now. "I wouldn't say that's the only reason, but yes, it's definitely one. You're cute when you're being dramatic."
Jungkook gave Taehyung a look for similar to an aegyo pouty smile, but he pulled it off since he was Jungkook.
Taehyung smiled at him and planted a quick kiss on his lips.
"I love you, but you need to get dressed so we can go get breakfast."
Jungkook laughed. "They don't allow us to be shirtless in the hotel cafe?"
"I wouldn't think it's desired."
"Shame." Jungkook smiled, then raised an eyebrow. "Maybe we should stay in and be shirtless together? Maybe in the tub...."
Taehyung laughed, shoving his boyfriend away. "Stop! I'm hungry and I can't afford to be seduced right now!"
Jungkook fell back onto the bed laughing, and Taehyung tossed him his hoodie.
"Please stop distracting me from my goal of breakfast!" He said, chuckling as he wandered into the bathroom to check his hair. He glanced at their fully stocked mini bar as he walked by,  realizing how long he'd been sober for. Normally he couldn't go a day without a couple drinks at every meal, now he couldn't remember that last time he went on a binge. It was funny how love could change you for the better without you even realizing it.
Taehyung smiled at himself in the mirror, loving the flushed glow of his cheeks. He was happy. Really, really happy. He hadn't been in love for so long, he'd forgotten what it felt like until now.
His phone buzzing distracted him from this thoughts, and he quickly grabbed his phone, afraid it was Jimin texting to say Yeontan fell into an endless puddle or something.
Seo-Yun: hey, ur America rn right?

Taehyung smiled. His little sister, only two years younger than him, was one of his closest friends, but ever since she got a promotion at her job in Busan as a fashion director, they haven't had a lot of time to connect. She'd DMed him after his first post about Jungkook and has been commenting on all his couple travel posts ever since. She has since claimed she's the biggest "Taekook supporter" whatever ever that means.

Taehyung: Yes, I am. We leave New York tomorrow morning, tho :(

Taehyung: I am going to miss waking up to the sound of traffic and the smell from the churro stand in front of our hotel

Seo-Yun: I bet :((( omg that sounds yummy. U guys are so lucky!!

Seo-Yun: on a more serious note though. . . I thought I should mention the fact that it's the anniversary of Appa's death tomorrow. . . I know you usually do your own Jesa*, but Umma said she wants you here in Daegu this year. She's not doing too well and I think she has some regrets she wants to try and mend, you know, just in case.
