(HEY, this chapter was really hard to write, and I had major writers block, but please bare with me, and know that it will get interesting soon. The next chapter is a lot more fun, at least I hope it will be, ha ha *sweats nervously* anyway, enjoy~)
"I kind of hate it." Taehyung said, staring at his new hair in the mirror. Jia smacked the back of his head, causing him to lurch forward.
He turned around and glared at her. "Um, ow?" He said, rubbing the back of his head. Jia glared back at him.
"Taehyung, you're hair looks amazing. What don't you like about it?" She asked, dabbing at his neck with a towel. It was nine am, but Taehyung didn't have to be in for work until ten, for the GQ interview and photoshoot. He'd scheduled Jia to come over to trim his hair this morning, but that somehow ended in her convincing him to go temporarily dirty blonde.
"No, it's good. . . but don't I kind of look like I'm trying too hard?" He asked, pinching a piece of his bangs between his index finger and thumb. Will Jungkook think I look like an idiot?
"No, not at all. I think you look really sexy, actually. Like an Asian Leo DiCaprio." Jia said, fluffing up his hair. "Here, let me style it and then tell me what you think." She got out some gel and smeared it on his hair and began running a comb through it. Taehyung sighed and pulled out his phone, seeing two missed calls from Min-Jun and a text from Sang-Hoon saying, Don't be late today. He shook his head, deciding to ignore his assistant, and sent a text to his best friend.
Taehyung: Hey, bro
Taehyung: are u up for drinks tonight? My treat
Yoongi: it better be ur fucking treat
Yoongi: u have more money than Elon Musk and Bill Gates combined
Taehyung: and ur dying
Yoongi: Plus, I'm dying, yes
Yoongi: what an asshole u would be if u made ur dying friend buy ur drinks
Taehyung: I'm an asshole regardless
Yoongi: very true
Taehyung had met Yoongi back in highschool, when they both lived in Daegu. Yoongi was Tae's first real friend, and the first person he knew he could trust. Back then, Yoongi was quick witted and rough on the surface, and wasn't looking to make a new friend, but Taehyung didn't care, he was content to just watch Yoongi shoot hoops in the school courtyard and help him with his homework on the weekends, until eventually, Yoongi trusted him too. Yoongi had what's called bradycardia, a condition which caused him to have a slower than average heart rate, his heart beating less than 60 times a minute. It was something Yoongi didn't talk about, or didn't like to talk about, at least, but when his condition started giving him temporal lobe seizures, Taehyung knew something was wrong and made his friend try and seek further medical help. Nearly every doctor Yoongi saw said they wouldn't even know where to began looking for a way to cure him. So, in short form, the only person Taehyung still cared about, and the only person who still cared him, was slowly dying.
"Taehyung, what do you think?" Jia asked, spraying his hair with coconut scented hair spray. Taehyung clicked off his phone and looked up at himself in the mirror, and flushed in surprise at what he saw.
