Taehyung woke up to the soft, deep and even breathing of Jungkook next to him, laying on his side facing Taehyung. Their faces were so close to each other, Taehyung could count every single one of Jungkook's feathery eye-lashes if he wanted to. Instead of sliding out of bed right away and running away, Taehyung stared at the boy's face, looking at his pale, soft skin, and how it seemed to glow under the soft golden light pouring in from the window. He stared at the little mole under Jungkook's lip, and smiled when he realised it reminded him of a tiny chocolate chip. Slowly, and careful not to wake him, Taehyung reached out and brushed the hair back off Jungkook's forehead, then let his hand trail down to his bare shoulder; feeling the warm, tattooed skin there. Taehyung really loved Jungkook's tattoos. They were all unique, all beautiful. He wondered if Jungkook drew the designs himself back when he was still in school. Not like Taehyung would ever ask, though.

Jungkook sighed happily, eyes still closed, and reached out to pull Taehyung in closer. Taehyung, although he knew he shouldn't, let him do so without fighting. He loved the smell of Jungkook, the feeling of their skin together as Jungkook held him in his arms. Taehyung buried his face in Jungkook's neck for a minute, trying to soak in every piece of this until Jungkook woke up and he'd have to move away and not talk about the reality of their situation as Jungkook goes back to hating him. Taehyung's heart fluttered as he recalled the events of last night, replaying them in his head.

Jungkook moved slowly, careful not to hurt Taehyung, his hips rolling against Taehyung's over and over in a heavenly motion. Taehyung felt euphoric, clutching the satin bed sheets in his hands so tightly his knuckles turned white, gasping every time Jungkook hit that spot. He'd never felt anything like this before- and he never wanted it to stop. He looked up at Jungkook, his eyes closed and his lips parted just enough to let the ragged breaths escape. It was truly a beautiful sight. Jungkook always looked perfect; but now, especially. Taehyung, not thinking, reached up with one hand and cupped Jungkook's cheek, and the boy opened his eyes to look down at Taehyung, and unexpected tenderness in his eyes as he turned his face and softly kissed Taehyung's palm. It had made Taehyung's heart flutter, as it reminded him that what they were doing wasn't just physical, whether they liked it or not, it meant something else to both of them.

"F-faster. You can move faster." Taehyung whispered as the pain subsided and was completely overtaken by pleasure, and Jungkook obeyed, kissing Taehyung's forehead before moving his hips faster, so fast Taehyung's hips bucked up to meet Jungkook's every move, and Jungkook clasped Taehyung's hands together with his, pinning them on either side and giving them a tight squeeze every time he pushed forward.

When neither of them could hold on any longer, Jungkook brought his lips down against Taehyung, kissing him so deeply that for a second Taehyung forgot where he was and what they were doing, and he trapped their breaths together as they both came undone.

The memory made Taehyung blush, and a warm feeling spread through his chest- followed by dread. Taehyung didn't avoid love and relationships for selfish reasons. It wasn't so he didn't get hurt, and it wasn't because he was scared to have something real- it was to protect everyone else. Anyone he touched, anyone he loved, always ended up getting hurt. And he could not afford to let Jungkook get close enough to become the next person Taehyung hurts.

Slowly, Taehyung pulled himself out of Jungkook's arms, careful not to stir him, and slid out of the bed onto the floor. He peeked back up over the bed and looked at Jungkook, who still slumbered peacefully.

Afterwards, they both laid there, staring up at the ceiling and desperatly trying to fill their lungs with air, both their chest sweaty and practically sparkling under the moonlight. Honestly, it was almost comical. Once he'd caught his breath; Taehyung didn't know what to say. He also really didn't want to be the first one to speak. Should he just expect Jungkook to get up and leave? Should he ask him to? Should they talk about how incredible it was? Because it was. It was even better than the first time.
