Arkala's Princess
Chapter 7
"Hey, babe." Will says as he sits next to Kara in the cafeteria. The table we sit in is really long, we got heaps of tables and put them together, and all the jocks and cheerleaders sit here.
"I haven't seen you all day." Kara says, playing with her food.
"Sorry, I've been busy." Will says, singling his arm behind her seat. Kara gives me a 'are you serious' look and I roll my eyes.
"Really? Busy with what?" Kara says, as Ryder reaches for my hand under the table. I glance over at him, and he gives me a grin, in which I return.
"Um...." Will clears his throat. "Just stuff. You know.... The usual."
"Right...." Kara says. "Hey Will? I think we should break up."
"What?"
"You heard me."
"B-but... W-why?" Will stutters. Kara smirks.
"Because you've been keeping secrets from me and I don't like it."
"W-what secret?"
"You know what I'm talking about." Kara says, standing up. But Will grabs her arm.
"Kara... I'm sorry."
"Whatever. We're still breaking up."
"Kara, please, give me a chance."
"No." Kara snaps. Will pulls Kara towards him, making Kara land sitting on Will. Kara's eyes go wide.
"Kara..... I made a mistake....."
"Let me go!" Kara says. By now, the whole cafeteria is watching them.
"No. Please, Kara?" Will, says, making Kara face him.
"No."
"Kara." Will says, and then he leans in and kisses her. They kiss for a few seconds, and then Kara slaps his cheek, and storms away. I stand up and go after her.

"I'm here!" I say as I walk into the living room, where I see my grandmother sitting on a seat.
"Hello, dear."
"Hey grandma." I say, dropping my bag on the couch, sitting myself next to it.
"Today we're going to practise how you should make entrances, down the stairs."
"Okay." I say.
"This is Shya. She'll be choosing dresses for you today." My grandma says.
"Hello, Miss Wayne." Shya says.
"Hello." I say.
"This is the first dress you're going to try." Shya says, holding up a floor length white dress.
"Okay." I say, getting the dress from her.
"Sydney, darling, we got a changing room ready for you." My grandmother says, pointing to a changing room kind of thing with a curtain.
"Oh." I say, walking over to it, opening the curtain, and going in, and closing it behind me.
After I get changed, I step out, and Shya nods in approval.
"Beautiful." Shya says.
"Gorgeous." My grandmother says.
"Thank you." I say.
"So, let's head up the stairs, shall we?" My grandma says. When we get up, my grandma walks down a few steps. "Put your hand on the stair rail, and take slow, but elegant steps." My grandma instructs. I put my hand on the stair rail, and start walking down. "Hang on, those shoes of yours.... We have to get you some high heels. Shya?"
"Yes, madam. I'll get some right away." Shya says, running down the stairs. Soon, she comes back with some white heels, and hands them to me, and then I take my converse off, and put the heels on.
"Okay, go back up top." My grandma says. I walk up, and start walking down slowly, going over what I had done before.
***
"So where to first?" Kara says, as I start driving.
"I don't know, Glassons?"
"Oh my god, that's exactly what I was thinking!" Kara says as I stop at a red light.
"Okay, let's go there."
"Hey, guess what? My new boyfriend's name is Will."
"Will? Your new boyfriend?" I say as I start driving again. "Oh god."
"I know, right? Weird."
"So weird." I agree. I pull up into the parking spot and we both hop out.
"To Glassons!" Kara squeals as she links arms with me.
"We haven't been shopping in ages."
"I know! We should go shopping more often." Kara says, and I slowly nod. The thing is though, I can't. I won't be able to for much longer.
We walk into Glassons, and I head over to a clothes rack with high waist shorts, Kara walking over to a rack with jeans.
"Isn't this cute?" I say, holding up some high waist shorts that is dip dyed, half blue, half pink.
"Totally. You should get it."
"I'm gonna try it on first. Do you have anything to try on?"
"Um... What do you think of these jeans?" Kara asks.
"It's cute. Try it on."
"Okay." Kara says, and we walk over to the changing rooms.
***
"Bye, Syd." Dylan says, giving me a hug.
"Bye, Dyl." I say, hugging him back. Right now, we're in front of our house, saying goodbye to Dylan. He's leaving to go back to college.
"Good luck, with Arkala and everything." He whispers.
"Thanks." I say. "I think I'll need it."
"You'll be fine." Dylan chuckles, as he pulls away.
"Yeah." I say.
"Bye, guys." Dylan says, hopping into a cab. He rolls down the window, and we all wave, and he waves back, as the cab drives away.
"Mom, stay for a while." My mom says to grandma.
"Will do." My grandmother says, and we all walk into the house.
