Arkala's Princess
Chapter 28
"Sydney, the twins parents and I have some issues to talk about, and I think the twins are coming tonight." My grandmother says after my princess lesson.
"The twins?"
"Yes."
"Both of them are coming?"
"Yes, Sydney." My grandma nods and I sigh quietly.
"Your highness, you have a meeting to attend." Wade says, walking up to us.
"Oh yes, Sydney, Shya should have your dress ready for you in your room." My grandma says and I nod, walking out of the room. Now I have to stay in a room with one guy who rejected me, and one guy who.... Seems to be mad at me.
"Miss, here is your dress for tonight." Shya says, as I walk into my room. She holds up a dress, and I take a glance at it. It's a long red dress, with a gold band just above my waist, and there's also a gold band outline just below my neck.
"Should I try it on?" I ask.
"Yes, miss, so I can see if it fits you."

"So um." I say, breaking the awkward silence between me, Ashton and Trystan. We've had dinner, and now we're just sitting in the living room, and none of us have said anything. "What do you guys want to do?" I ask awkwardly.
"Anything." Trystan mutters. "Let's just do something."
"Like what?" Ashton says. "There's nothing to do."
"Um..... Do you guys wanna watch a movie or something?" I suggest.
"Yeah, let's just watch TV." Ashton says, and he grabs the remote and turns the TV on. It comes up with a movie, and it's the Titanic.
"Um, let's watch a movie." I say quickly.
"This is a movie." Trystan says.
"No, but-" I stand up but Trystan grabs my waist and pulls me down onto the couch, causing me to fall onto the couch. "Fine." I sigh.
During the movie, I do notice Ashton giving Trystan a few looks, but I have no idea what they meant.
After the movie has finished, I stand up and so does the twins. We walk to the door, with the twins parents and my grandmother also.
"Well I guess this is goodbye." I say, and Ashton and Trystan both nod.
"See you Sydney." Trystan says.
"See ya, Sydney." Ashton says and I nod.
"Bye, guys." I say, and they walk out of the palace.

"Another occasion? What for?" I ask.
"We are invited, Sydney. It's a good thing, you can get more experience." My grandmother says.
"But what's the occasion for?"
"I'm not sure exactly, Sydney, dear. But we are both required to attend."
"Fine." I huff. "Is Shya coming today?"
"No, not today but I think she will be coming tomorrow."
"Okay. I'm going up to my room." I huff again, and walk upstairs. How many freaking occasions do I need to attend?
I close my bedroom door behind me, and I lay on my bed and go on my MacBook, and onto Facebook. I see that I've got a notification.
Trystan wrote on your timeline
I frown and click into it.
tbh you're really pretty
You're really hot
I hope we get to hang more xI read over that again and again and again. When did I ask Trystan to do a tbh for me? Why did he ask me to hang out with him more? He was the one who said that he didn't like me, and does he think I want to hang out with him, after he rejected me?
My finger hovers over the comment button, and I click it, and my fingers hover over the keypad of my MacBook. What do I say? There is nothing to say. Instead, I just click the like button.

"We never got to go for a swim last time." I pout.
"Yeah, was that your boyfriend?"
"No! He's not my boyfriend." I say quickly, as me and Reece walk down to the beach.
"Really? He did seem to be glaring at me."
"Yeah.... I don't know what was up with him. Maybe he was just having a bad day or something. Door about that." I mumble.
"Nah, it's fine." He says as we sit down on the soft sand.
"Yeah, I just." I sigh. "We've been a bit.... Distant since then, and I don't know what I have done, or, or what I have to do, or......"
"Hey, if you don't know, he'll figure everything out, and I'm sure that he will talk to you soon." Reece says reassuringly.
"Hopefully. Like, we were really close, and I think I just somehow lost that friendship."
"Hey, you have me!"
"I know." I laugh. "I'm glad Lyra introduced me to you, you're a really, really good guy."
"Yeah, thanks." He chuckles.
"So should we go for a swim?"
"Yeah, let's go." He says, and we stand up and walk to the water.
"Woah, it's warm." I say when the water touches my feet.
"Yeah." He says, and we both wade in. When the water comes to about our stomachs, I stop.
"It's good to see that you've gotten over..... You know."
"Oh, that? Um, yeah. I guess. I just, I don't like, I actually really liked her." He says. "And she's acting like it's not a big deal." He sighs. "And I guess that I tried to be, you know, strong about it and all, but she kind of, oh god this is kinda hard to say out loud. But she kind of, hurt me. A lot."
"You really liked her." I mumble.
"Yeah. I guess I did. And at the start, I really thought we had something going on there."
"I'm sure you did, but, maybe she just, maybe she just wasn't feeling the connection anymore." I say.
"Yeah. But I'm okay. Like, I'll be fine."
"Yeah. I'm sorry for what happened."
"Nah it's fine."
