Arkala's Princess
Chapter 8
"Good morning Miss Wayne." The cook says as I walk into the kitchen for breakfast, like I do every morning.
"Morning." I smile, as I sit myself down.
"Your grandmother said she would be joining you in breakfast today."
"Really?" I ask, as the cook places a cup of smoothie in front of me. "Okay."
"Are you sure the smoothie will do?" The cook asks. I've asked her to give me smoothies in the morning now, I need to be fit, and I need to loose some weight. It also helps being light when I'm cheerleading.
"Yes. It'll be fine. You make the best smoothies ever by the way." I say.
"Thank you, miss."
"Good morning." I hear a voice and I turn around to see my grandmother.
"Hey, grandma."
"Good morning madam." The cook says.
"Sydney, I wanted to talk to you." My grandma says.
"Mmhm." I say.
"I think you're ready, so this will be your last week of school."
"W-what?"
"Sorry, Sydney dear. But we need to get there as soon as we possibly can."
"O-oh." I say, staring at the countertop.
"Sydney......"
"It's okay. I'll just.... I'll just say that I'm leaving to another town or something."
"Sydney, are you-"
"I'm fine." I say, placing my cup down on the countertop. "See you after school." I say and walk out, slinging my bag over my shoulder. When I walk out, I hop into the limo and sigh. I knew this was coming. But it just feels weird that I won't be going to school maybe ever again. I didn't think we would be going so soon. Oh god, how am I gonna tell everyone?

"Ryder, you don't need to wait for me after practise today." I say, giving him a hug.
"You sure?"
"Yeah." I say and pull away. I let out a sigh. "Listen, I have something to tell you."
"What is it?" He asks, holding both my hands.
"I..... This is my last week of school. I'm moving next week."
"W-what?"
"Yeah.... I'm sorry. I think...." I pause. "I think we should break up."
"What? No."
"We have to. We won't be able to see each other again, there's no point." I say, looking down.
"No, we're not breaking up, Sydney. You're the most beautiful and hot girl I've ever dated. We can't break up just because your leaving."
"But we won't be able to see each other."
"Sydney! Come on!" Kara says, waving me over. "We have practise today, remember?"
"Yeah. Coming!" I say, and turn back to Ryder.
"Let's talk after school tomorrow." Ryder says and I nod.
"See you."
"Bye." Ryder says and I jog over to where Kara and all the other girls are. I'm already in my cheerleading uniform so I didn't need to change.
