Arkala's Princess
Epilogue
"I now pronounce you man and wife." The priest says. Then he turns to Ashton. "You may now kiss the bride." Ashton glances over at me and leans in and kisses me gently. When we pull away, everyone claps and Ashton puts his forehead against mine. I smile.
"I love you." He whispers.
"I love you too." I whisper back and he gives me a quick kiss and we turn to the audience. I see my parents and family standing at the front, and I see a few tears on my mom's face. It's been about six years since my mom first told me that I was a princess. Back then, I didn't believe her at all. And now, I'm married to Ashton, and now I'll soon be crowned queen. It was arranged that Ashton would rule Arkala with me, and I was happy.
Ashton and I walk down the aisle, and to the back of the big and beautiful church my parents had booked for us.
"Wow, time's gone so fast, hasn't it?" Ashton says as the doors close behind us.
"Yeah, it has." I smile, glancing down at my wedding dress. It's quite a simple design, but I like it a lot. My hair is curled a little bit, but it is left down, just the way I like it.
"Hey. Can you believe the fact that when I first met you, you were all over my brother?"
"I know, right? I should've known who the better twin was."
"Hm." Ashton says, as he pulls me close to him, and I look into his green eyes. It was a couple of months ago when Ashton proposed to me. I couldn't believe that he was asking me to marry him. We had been dating since six years ago, and I have fallen in love with him in the process. It felt right. "You're beautiful." Ashton murmurs.
"Thank you. You too." I say quickly, and blush.
"Aw, are you blushing? You're so cute when you blush." Ashton chuckles and I can hear his body vibrating, and I wrap my own arms around him.
"How can you make me blush? I've got to stop doing that around you!" I say, as I draw circles on his chest. Ashton has always had this effect on me, and I don't know how the stop it.
"Don't stop. It looks cute." He says and I bury my face into his chest, and he holds me tight.
"Sydney!" A voice says, and I pull away from Ashton to see Lyra carefully passing her one year old daughter, Lizzy to Kyle. Lyra rushes over to me, and squeezes me into a hug. "Oh my god! Congratulations!" She whispers.
"Thanks." I say. Lyra rubs my back soothingly, and pulls away. Before she can say anything else, someone interrupts her.
"Oh, Sydney, dear." My grandmother says, wrapping me into a hug.
"Grandmother."
"Sydney, you've grown so much. And you look gorgeous."
"Thank you, grandma." I smile as we pull away.
"Sydney." My mom pulls me in for a hug. "Sorry, I had to check if your honeymoon was all ready to go, they said that they had some problems but I got it fixed. Oh, sweetie. My baby's married!" My mom pulls me into a big hug in which I return.
"I'm not a baby anymore, mom." I say, but I can't help but smile.
"I know, sweetie. You're a wife to a man you love! I'm so proud, and happy, and..... You've grown so fast." My mum says, and I feel a tear slip out of my eye. "I'm proud of you, Sydney."
"Thanks, mom." I smile, giving mum a quick hug before pulling away. I wipe away the tears.
***
"Ugh, it's hot." I say, dropping all my bags to the floor and collapsing on the double bed.
"It sure is." Ashton says, lying down on the bed next to me.
"But Fiji is amazing." I smile, turning my head to look at the amazing view of this room. Ashton and I are on our honeymoon in Fiji. It's so beautiful here, and as cheesy as this sounds, I'm so happy to share it with Ashton, my husband.
"It's amazing. I'll turn up the air conditioner. Where's the remote?"
"There." I say.
"Where?"
"There!"
"Where?" He asks again and I sit up, only to meet Ashton's lips. He pushes me back down onto the bed, his lips not separating from my own. "Mm."
"A-Ashton." I mumble as he starts kissing my neck.
"Yeah, babe?"
"I-I love you." I say and he pulls away.
"I love you too, Sydney." He says, looking at my in the eyes.
