4. Adoption

Elizabeth P.O.V

I was over the moon and almost exploding wit exitment, One Diretion was coming here, to adopt someone! It would be so amazing if they chose me, then I could stay with my mate all the time, that would be like heaven. And Emily would freak if they chose her, it would also be fantastic, as she was a huge fan. There was one thing that put a bummer to my happines though, Emma and Sky was vampires, and I donæt want Emily, or any of the kids close to them, not after what happened with Carlos.

"Elizabeth, come down here, we're getting visitors!" Rut yelled from downstairs, meaning that I had to help her with the kids that fit the familys needs.

"I'm coming!" I yelled back as I ran down the stairs. I had a huge grin on my face as I stumbled towards Ruth in my slippers. As I reached the living room I was met with the children that was fit for the adoption that was about to take place. There was only seven kids there, the seven oldest. To my dismay, Emily was one of them, so I had to make sure that hey did not choose her. 

"Hey Emmy, how are you?" I asked as I walked over to her, she was sitting on the sofa and clenching her hands into fists as her face looked pained.

"I'm fine, I guess, it's just that I've gotten this pain in my entire body today, the last five minutes itæs been so bad that I couldn't even move, it feels like my bones are breaking on their own, then suddenly it dissepears, then it comes back" she groaned in reply. I started to wory, that's the start of a pups first shift.

That means that Rex and I was right, Emily was a werewolf, and she was going through her first shift now.

'Alpha Rex!' I yelled through the pack link, and he answered right away as he heard my worried voice.

'Is something wrong Lizzie?' he asked, as he blocked everyone else from our conversation.

'I think Emily is going through her first shift! There is coming a family over here now, and I can't take the risk of her getting adopted in the middle of her shift' I explained quickly, I could feel him think about what I just said for a second. Rex knew that I loved Emily like a little sister, and that I would do anything for her

'Okay, I'll call Ruth and fill her in on the situation' he said, and as he said it, the pone in Ruth's office went of, clearly Rex didn't like wasting time.

"Elizabeth, open the door when the family arrives, and make sure that everyone is presentable" she said as she entered her small office where she kept all our files.

"Do you know who's comming?" Emily asked through clenched teeth, I smiled sadly down at her, pity filling my eyes. Shifting the first time hurt like hell, and I'm happy that it only happens one time.

"I'm not hundred percent sure, but I have my suspicions" I grinned and let out a smal giggle. Emily and I chatted for a bit more, as I listened into the massive discussion Ruth was having with Rex over the phone, but we were all interupted as the doorbell went of and a wide smile broke onto my face. All the children hurried over to the sofas and sat down, making sure to look as pretty as possible to impress the adopting family.

I hurried over to the door and opened it with a wide smile. I was met by the same discusting smell as last night, so I concluded that Emma and Sky must have been coming with them, but as I took them in, there was only the guys, which meant that it wasn't only the girls, but also One Direction who were vampires.

"Hey, aren't you the girl from the arena last night?!" Louis exclaimed as I opened the door a bit wider. I stepped aside and let them in.

"Yup, very nice to see you all again" I giggled. The guys took of their jackets and looked me over.
