AFTER THE amazing kiss we shared, I almost panicked when she slowly lost consciousness. Buti na lang pala nakasunod sa amin si Doc Mirina. Siya ang tumulong sa aking asikasuhin si Cath. We brought her to her room, changed her clothes, treated her wounds, which I didn't notice a while ago, and connected an IV on her wrist.

Nasa kalagitnaan ako ng pagbabanlaw ng pinangpunas ko kay Cath nang pumasok si Doc. Mirina ulit sa kwarto dala ang mga gamit ni Cath, agent stuffs. "Finally huh." she teased me habang nakasandal sa hamba ng pinto.

"Yeah." I shyly said, scratching my nape.

"It's funny how you two tried to hide your feelings when it's already too obvious. It took you ten years to gather courage, and I am truly happy for both of you. Take care of my pretentious Cath, mighty Zea. She isn't as strong as how you see her now that she's coming closer to the truth that flipped her life two decades ago. Anyway, I'll be leaving you two now. I need to go back and work." She ended her speech with a smile before leaving Cath's room.

Napangiti at napailing na lang ako dahil bumalik na naman sa utak ko yung nangyari kanina. "I'll be right back my love, magbibihis lang ako." I whispered softly and kissed her forehead bago ako nagtungo sa kwartong katapat lang ng kwarto niya para palitan ang medyo basa ko pang mga damit.

Bumalik din naman ako agad sa kwarto niya at umupo sa upang katabi ng kama niya. I was staring at her when her expression suddenly changed. From being peaceful, her face slowly turns to a scared expression. That's when I realized that she was having a nightmare again.

Agad akong umikot sa kabilang bahagi ng kama at pumailalim sa kumot niya. I wrapped my arms around her waist and carefully puller her closer to me. "Shh, I'm here my love, I'm here." bulong ko sa kaniya when she started mumbling things.

"Papa!" she then shouted at biglang bumangon. Halata ang takot sa mga mukha niya kaya agad ko rin siyang niyakap.

"It's just a dream, my love." I tried to comfort her because she started crying in my arms.

"It's okay, I'm here." I continued lightly patting her shoulder until she calmed down.

"Kalmado ka na?" I asked her when she stopped breathing slowly to calm herself.

"Yeap, what happened? Why am I suddenly in my room and who changed my clothes?" sinusuri niya ang sarili niya habang nagtatanong.

"Mirina was the one who changed you. You passed out after the kiss." I answered her.

"Oh, okay."

"Come on, matulog ka ulit, hindi mo pa nababawi yung lakas mo." I laid her carefully on the bed again.

"Tatabihan mo ako?" tanong niya nang tumabi ako ng higa sa kaniya.

"Yeah, why? Do you have a problem with that?" I started brushing her hair.

"Wala naman. Will you stay by my side 'til I open my eyes again?" she asked me.

"Of course, my love, from this day onwards, I will stay by your side from the moment you close your eyes 'til you open your eyes again." I kissed her forehead.

"Okay, I'll hold on to that." she smiled before she huggen me sideways. Nilapit niya ang katawan niya sa akin at siniksik niya ang kaniyang ulo sa leeg ko.

"Goodnight, Zea, I love you," she whispered.

"Goodnight, my love. I love you too." I continued brushing her hair hanggang sa tuluyan na siyang nakatulog. With that, my day ended with a smile and my lovely woman sleeping peacefully in my arms.
