Game Over

Chapter 16

Ever since Kira's destructive rampage, the military was trying to find him, and only him now. There hadn't been a mention of Serenity or Tommy or anyone, just Kira. The new images were only of his rampage, clear pictures were hard to find from the fight, so the news stations did what they could to clarify who it was. Whenever people saw him in the streets, they would run from him. He never seemed to react to any of it, but whenever he saw a soldier, he'd teleport.
"The terrorist, Kira Sendo, has yet to be caught by the military," A reporter told the camera "However, they feel that they're getting close."
"Kira Sendo has been spotted going into a pizzeria. We'll be reporting live on the scene when the military find him."
"Well... they're fucked," Mick told Serenity after turning the television off "They don't realize how powerful he is?"
"I guess not," She replied, sitting in front of him on the floor "And now he's just snapped. We have no idea if he's even gonna show any mercy, or just kill them."
"I'm thinking he's gonna kill them," Tommy told them "Yeah, Kira has been shown to be able to let his enemies live... but, I don't think that's happening anymore." Tommy sat down next to Serenity "We're not gonna see them come out with a body, that much we can make sure of."
"As much as I hate to say this," Serenity said "I hope they win... but I know he'll just slaughter them all." Mick turned the television back on and they all waited for about seven minutes before they showed the pizzeria "Welp... here we go."
"We're here now at the site where the military will attempt-"
"Hah!" Tommy laughed
"-To neutralize Sendo."
The men all walked into the building and turned the flashlights of their machine guns on. This turned out to be a massive mistake, because unlike the soldiers, Kira knew how to stay in the shadows. He heard all the lights come on and he moved from the table he was sitting at. When he moved, then chair fell over, which prompted a few of the men to walk over. When they saw the chair that had fallen over, something moved behind them. It was too quick for anyone to be able to see, so they all continued.
"Alright, we all know our teams. Echo, Island, and Market, break." The men all nodded and they all split into the three groups.
Echo walked through the halls of floor one of the building, luckily, not the floor Kira was on. This didn't mean they were safe however, because as lazy as kira was, he was one of the smartest people most will ever meet. He knows how to make traps efficient enough to do exactly what he wanted them to do. When one of the men stepped on a wire, cutting all power to the building, an oven fell on top of him. He looked up and was crushed by the metal box instantly, showing the others how bad of a situation they were in.
"Oh... that's what we're up against?" One of them asked.
"Yeah, Flin, but we can't lose focus," Another replied "All we need to do is kill or capture one fucking kid. This shouldn't be too difficult."
"Screw this, man. I'm gonna get dishonorably discharged for this, but I don't care." he dropped his rifle to the ground "I have a wife and son at home, dude! I'm leaving!" He turned and ran away, but suddenly, Kira teleported in front of him, and punched through his head!
"Flin!" The other soldier yelled, then he raised his gun up and shot at Kira, but he was already gone.
"Connor, he's gone!" Another soldier told him "Let's just keep moving." He nodded and hesitated, taking a second to look back at Flin, then he kept going with his group.
Island team was on the third floor, where Kira normally lurked, so they were in the most danger. A trip wire was funny enough, tripped over, and a cabinet opened right above the team. They looked up and three of them were stabbed in the face with knives and other utensils while the others managed to get out of the way.
"This kid's a monster!" One of the seven survivors explained.
"Yeah... let's take is slow," The leader replied as they all go up and began walking again.
Throughout the entire place, objects fell and moved, making it impossible to tell what was Kira and what was a simple object. The place was silent, the air thick with dust. Light from the moon came in through the windows. Everyone's nerves were shot and everything seemed like it was about to jump out at them. Kira saw them from the shadows of the ceiling beams and continued walking. Everyone watching from outside heard the screams and decided to turn the channel, if they could. Kira seemed to have taken control of every television in New York. the screens all showed different angels from different security cameras, barely ever showing Kira, and never showing his face. Just to make them even more scared, he decided to appear behind them. He grabbed someone by the shoulder, then teleported away before he could even yell for help. Kira suddenly used his grapple hook to impale another Island Teammate. He was able to let out a yell before he was dragged away. The team leader saw him go toward the elevator and began shooting into it.
"You got him, man," Tommy said to the screen "You got that elevator." Kira impaled another through the top of the head, killing him instantly "Ewh." He pulled the corpse up into the rafters and moved onto the next target.
"Back to back!" The leader yelled "Circle up!"
"Oh, he's just toying with them now," Serenity realized.
They all began to cough and the leader asked horrified "The hell is this?" As Kira's purple teleportation particles swirled around the last three when Kira teleported all around them.
"It's a magic eight ball!" Tommy told them, imitating Kira "If you shake that one, it'll tell ya you're fucked." This actually got a smirk out of Serenity, who was laying her head down on Tommy's shoulder.
Kira looked down at them and grabbed one of his smoke grenades, then dropped it casually between them. The last two excluding the leader were all pulled up into the rafters again. When they were gone, the leader went to go join Market, but he heard something move behind him. He began shooting up into the rafters, but a knife came from the darkness. The utensil flew lodged itself into the leader's hand, causing him to lose his gun. He let out a loud yell which attracted Market to the area. He looked up and saw the smoke be tinged with an orange glow. It took him longer than he had to live that Kira was burning the place down. Kira walked out of the glow and stomped the ground, causing objects to fall from the ceiling. When the leader saw what the objects were, he went pale. It was all of his teammates, their dead bodies hung from the roof. Some were hanged while others were crucified and had a rope wrapped around their waists.
"Oh... my god," The leader rasped out as Kira turned toward him slowly and silently "You're... you're a monster." Kira walked toward him, his movement completely silent, not even a heartbeat could be heard, he was completely dead inside "Well... I guess if this is how you want things to end for ya." He used his uninjured hands to grab his spare pistol "Then come on! Come on!" Kira simply encased himself in his nanotech armor, leaving him completely unscathed until the leader lost all of his ammunition "Uh... oh no, no, no, no!"
When Market got to the top floor, all that was left was the bodies of Island, causing Mick to say "Oh... uh, wow. I really did this?" He finally realized how big of a mistake he had made "I'm really gonna have to do some good to make up for this bad."
