A few hours later, Kira and Cyber Dog got back to Dragon Spire after getting Serenity a house. She had stayed to check out everything about her new house. Courtesy of the enderman who weren't following Vordus, they helped her get all of the furniture that she had bought into her house and set everything up for her. When the two boys got back, they sat down o the couch, and began to discuss their plans of action.
"Kira, I know this is your home, but we can't stay in Minecraft," Cyber Dog told his younger friend "It's too dangerous here. At least in my world Vordus has a much harder time tracking us down because there's way more people who look like us."
"I... yeah, I guess that makes sense," He replied "I just... I feel like running away and hiding somewhere would just be the coward's move."
"In my world, most cowards tend to win wars. Hiding out and waiting this war out may be the only move we can make that won't end in all of our deaths."
"I know you're right, but my instincts... they're telling me to go after him, again, and again, and again, but I know that'll just get everyone killed, and I don't want that to happen." The two heard a thump come from Ashley's room, but they didn't go check because she had either fallen out of bed, and slept through it, or woke up.
She opened her door and walked out of her room, and when the two saw her, they were silent. She looked very different from when they had last seen her... mere hours ago. She was still recognizable to anyone, but there were clear differences.
"Uh... I'm sorry, but what the hell happened to her?" Cyber Dog asked his friend, to which he just shrugged.
"Uh... Ash?" Kira asked his sister "You... uh... you notice anything different?"
"No... what do you mean?" She asked, and when she opened her mouth, the two saw yet another difference.
"Uh... you may wanna go look in a mirror," Cyber Dog explained "I don't think you'd believe us if we told you."
She sighed and replied "Fine." She walked into the bathroom and looked into the mirror "What the fuck!?"
The girl's scleras were now a slight purple, but just purple enough to be noticeable like Kira's. Her hair was still on fire, but now it was a blend of purple and orange fire. Her skin was much paler now, but still darker than Kira's. Her teeth were now sharp, but not jagged. Her muscles were slightly more defined and she seemed just a bit taller, but not by a noticeable amount. She was still recognizable, her face hadn't changed, but her entire body being changed like this would have to be something she would get used to.
"Okay! Okay!" She told herself in order to not freak out "this... this is fine! Yeah, I can just tell people I'm wearing purple hair dye if they ask... yeah, that'll work..." She groaned and walked out of the bathroom.
"So... what do you think of your new look?" Kira asked.
"I've got... mixed feelings," She replied honestly "But I don't think that matters right now. I have a question, what are we supposed to do?"
"Well, I do have a lot of friends back in my world," Cyber Dog reminded them "I was telling Kira we need to go to the Physical World... only problem is I don't know where we should hide. It's not just Vordus we have to deal with, there's also the government."
"I'm sorry, what?" Kira asked, bewildered "Why are they coming after us too? We helped take down Dread... and tried to save your city."
"There's the word! Try! To most people, you guys are heroes, however to the rest of the country, we're dangerous people who need to be taken down."
"Wait... I know we kinda destroyed the city, but why did you say we?" Ashley questioned.
"All of my friends are seen as accessories just by knowing us, knowing what we're capable of," Cyber Dog explained "They have our faces all over the news now, saying the typical, 'Oh, if you have any information about these people, please inform your local military base,' because apparently, they've started deploying military makeshift bases around the god damn city!"
"So what you're saying..." Kira asked "Is we need to get out of this world, without Vordus knowing we're gone, then we need to sneak around the city, having no where to stay, and just do that for god knows how long?" Kira asked "For the first time, I don't like a plan."
"Wow, Kira. You take your smart pills this morning or something?" Cyber Dog asked.
"I mean... no, but I do agree with Kira. We have no place to stay while we hide out, and either wait this out, or make a plan," Ashley told the two as she sat down.
"Oh, but that's where you're wrong," Cyber Dog corrected "You see, I've got friends, some of them rich. One of them, very rich. Avery's family owns a hotel which they give out rooms at a pretty reasonable cost, but I talked to her when she told me about the whole situation. We came up with a plan, they'd tell the people to leave and give them a full refund for... some bullshit reason they'll think of, and so we can move in for as long as we want. It's in the middle of the city, well, very close to city hall, so we'll have a pretty good idea of where everything is just by looking out the windows."
"So we have to do this when?" Kira asked.
"Whenever Avery tells me they're ready to do this. Shouldn't take long, so I'll talk to you guys when we get the plan." A bright light began to envelope him "See you guys." He faded away.
