Game Over

Chapter 4

When the three got back, they saw that they were on a hill close to the village. It was night and they had to be silent as to not scare anyone there. Kira looked down at Ashley who was still passed out on the dirt. Prokaz looked at Kira and they nodded, picking her up. They each put one shoulder under an armpit and started walking her to the village. Little did they know, however that there was barely any village left. They kept walking, but slowly began noticing something odd in the air. There was an odd smell, like someone was barbequing, but it didn't smell like burgers or sausages, no, this smell was foul. It smelled as if flesh was being cooked, something horrible that only a psychopath would ever even think of doing, let alone actually doing it. As they walked, they saw an orange glow in the distance. It was odd, moving as if it were alive, but none of them could figure out what it was. They kept walking and suddenly, Serenity ran up to them, the little redhead was sweaty and out of breath as if she had been running for a long time.
"Kira! Prokaz... Ashley!" She stuttered "My village! They attacked it!" Kira's eyes were wide and he gave Ashley to Prokaz suddenly.
He stepped forward, grabbed her by the shoulders, which she winced at because his damaged metal hand was digging into her shoulder, and asked "Who attacked you village? Seri, what... happened!?" All the girl could to was point toward the glow, and Kira finally understood "Oh my god... wait, who did this?"
"There were endermen..." Kira growled, his sharp teeth bared "Nether people." Ashley began to wake up and saw the glow "And pretty much all the monsters in the Overworld. It's like... it's like Armageddon."
Kira turned back to them, saw Ashley was awake, and told them "We need to get there. We need to help any survivors."
Prokaz mumbled under his breath "If there are any..." Ashley stood on her own and Serenity saw her arm... or what was left of it.
"Oh my god..." She took a few very slow, very uneasy steps forward "A-Ashley, what happened? How did that-"
"Vordus came into Earth," She told her young friend "We fought him... and we lost." Serenity looked down, then lunged forward, wrapping her arms around Ashley's waist and left arm.
Ashley was startled for a moment, then she noticed that Serenity was crying. When she noticed that, the girl gently removed her left arm from Serenity's and wrapped it around the redhead. Serenity kept her head against Ashley's stomach as the old girl stroked her long, burnt, in color and slightly literally from the fire, orange hair. Ashley gently grabbed the back or Serenity's head and tilted her eyes up to look into Ashley's.
"Seri... I'm okay. It's just an arm, I've been through worse."
"I just..." She sniffled "I just don't wanna see anyone else die tonight." She buried her face in Ashley's stomach again "Too many have died. I just want this to be over."
"Serenity, listen to me," Prokaz told her as he and Kira walked toward the village "No one else is dying tonight, We'll make sure of that." The two teleported away and Ashley just sat with Serenity for a bit, watching as Serenity's home burned to nothing.
As the two reappeared, they ran toward the village, Kira yelled "Once we get into the village, we need to search for survivors."
Prokaz nodded, then replied "If we find any, how will we get the out of here. They probably hate us because of the endermen... maybe they think we sent them here."
Kira stopped dead in his tracks, coincidentally right outside the wreckage of Serenity and Sora's home, and replied "I... I never though of that... shit." The two looked at the house "I hope at least someone doesn't think of us like that. We sent Seri here to heal up after her fight with Dread, we wouldn't do this."
"I know, Kira, but humans... they're unpredictable. They scare easily... they jump to conclusions." Kira let out a sigh.
"Yeah, I know, but the people here. I've known them for so long. This place had become a second home to Ash and I. Why would we send some endermen here to burn it to the ground!?" Suddenly, his eyes glowed brighter, and his teeth glowed for a split second.
"Kira... I know you didn't. We haven't known each other very long, but I know neither you, nor Ashley would do this, and if you did, you'd at least do this yourself. No, this is the work of a coward." Kira let out a breath "RIght now, though, the focus is finding survivors. You check the left side of the village, I'll check the right. We'll meet up here after a little bit alright?" Kira nodded and the two took out their swords, preparing for any monsters that could still be here.
After a few minutes of searching and not finding anyone, Kira was about to go back, but he heard something behind him. He looked back and saw a few monsters coming toward him. There was an enderman with a halberd, two zombies with simple iron sword, a pigman with a spear, and another enderman with a bow.
"So why're you guys still here?" Kira asked as he lit his sword on fire "Did you get to the bus stop late? Did you not get the memo to leave?" He stopped for a moment before asking "Did everyone else not like you?" He looked at the smoldering dirt under his feet, then back up at them, and told them "I can see why. You guys are idiots. Without those fire resistance potions you would all be dead by now." He walked towards them "But, I guess if this is what I gotta get through to get to the rest of this village." He pressed a button on his chest, making his nanobot armor form a mask around his face "Then let's go." They all charged at him except for the archer... because he was an archer.
One of the zombies ran behind him and jumped, spinning, and swinging down at his head. Kira turned, swung his blade up, and the two collided, leaving both combatants unhurt. Kira swung at the zombie's groin, but it took a stumble backward to dodge the attack.
"Alright." He stabbed at the zombie but he blocked, so Kira swung their swords in a circle, launching the zombie's up out of its hand, spinning in the air, and falling into Kira's left hand "You..." he spun around "Are done." He swung both through the zombie's head, killing it instantly "Alright! Who's next?"
An arrow shot past his head and he exclaimed "Oh! I guess you are!" Another arrow launched through the air at him, but he rolled away "God- stop it!" He got back up, jumped, spun, and threw the sword at the enderman before he even touched the ground.
The second he landed, facing in the exact opposite side of the enderman, the sword lodged into his head. The black, thin creature fell backwards and the spearman charged at him. He teleported above Kira and swung down at his head. He blocked the attack with his sword, then grabbed the blunt end of the spear. The enderman looked into the smaller boy's eyes, then kicked his thigh. Kira fell to one knee, then the enderman turned his body away from Kira. He swung Kira onto his back and into a small fire. Luckily for the fourteen year old, his armor made suer he was unharmed. He looked up and saw the enderman begin to swing down at him. Kira swung his leg and swept the enderman's leg away. He fell to his knees and Kira spun back onto his feet, flipping his blade into his underhand. The enderman got back up and the moment he faced Kira, the boy punched him in the nose with his robotic fist. He staggered back, then Kira charged at him. He jumped, tackling the enderman to the ground. He put his knee on the enderman's shoulder, pinning him down. He grabbed his spear off of his back in his underhand, then stabbed him through the chest.
"Alright..." Kira was breathing heavily as he backed away from the corpses "If that's all then-" The other zombie charged at him "Oh, come on!" He  got back up and swung his blade up, knocking the zombie's sword away, then grabbed it, and stabbed it through the throat "Oh, now I remember that there are a few more, so come on." The halbert wielder swung at him so he calmly ducked underneath the blade, then got up, and stabbed him through the chest, then he heard someone coming at him "Oh yeah. I also forgot about you." He spun and teleported, cutting the enderman several times before he fell to the ground, but then he heard someone running toward him "Alright... come on!" he turned around, but was surprised by who he saw.
Sora was running from... someone, he couldn't tell who. He heard something grinding through the dirt, and he suddenly understood what she was running from. She turned around and shot three times at him, but his skin was so tough that the arrows just bounced off. She turned and ran again, not noticing Kira until she knocked into him. She fell onto her stomach while Kira was knocked off of the hill he had been standing on. He rolled down the hill and crashed through the burnt door of a stone house. Sora heard a teleportation sound behind her and looked back. Before she could get back up, Vordus swung his axe through her back. His blade didn't just dig into her spine, it broke through, and dug into the ground beneath her.
Kira walked out and Vordus saw him, yelling "Kira!... Again..." He looked around, then raised his voice again as Kira walked toward him, and told Kira "I see you've moved the skeleton's weapons!"
Kira was confused... that's what he did all of this for? He could've just asked and Kira would've calmly given the weapons to him. There was no need for all of these pointless deaths.
"I need the weapons!" He continued "Can't you see? Look around... look around at what you and your friend made me do."
"Okay, you're a psycho! I'll make you pay for this!" Kira yelled at him "Seriously! You could've just asked! We weren't doing anything with them. We just kinda had them because... well, where else were we gonna keep them?" Suddenly, enderman teleported in all around him, five in fact.
"While that may be true, my goals can not be stopped, so you won't escape this time." Kira looked around at all of the endermen and Vordus pointed the tips of the axe blades at him.
They all began to close in on him and he told them "Well, guys. You're not gonna beat them... because, I'm Kira." He raised his sword "Well, I guess this has to happen. Sorry guys." He spun around, swinging the blade at his enemies, but they all jumped back "Huh... you're all smarter than I thought."
He turned to one, then he launched a ring of fire out of his staff at Kira, who cartwheeled away from it, and said "Oh! Right, Ender people can use magic every so often... okay, well, let's see how good you are in close quarters!" He charged at the enderman.
He jumped, spun, and swung down at the enderman's throat as he landed. He pulled back and swung at the enderman's throat again, but he stepped back again. The enderman swung his staff at Kira, but he grabbed his spear off his back, and blocked with the pole of the weapon. Kira stepped back and stabbed with his sword, but the enderman blocked with his staff. When he pulled back, the enderman japped at his head, but Kira ducked underneath the strike. He got back up and the enderman spun around, spinning his staff in his hand as well.  He swung at Kira's neck, but he blocked with the sharp side of his blade. The two pushed against each other's weapons for a moment, then Kira pushed their weapons apart. The enderman staggered back for a moment and turned around from the force of Kira's pushback. He grabbed his staff with both hands again, then looked back, and swung at him again. He missed and Kira stabbed at his head, but the enderman ducked the attack.
He got up and jabbed Kira with the butt of his staff "Ow!" He stood back up and hit him in the chin with the butt of his staff again "God! Damn it!" The enderman spun around, then jumped, kicking him in the jaw "Ow!" He went flying back and landed on his back "Alright... I'm done screwing around." He grabbed his sword and got up off of his back "Let's do this." He threw the sword up into the air "Let's see how you deal with this!" Backflipped and landed on his feet "Gimme a minute." He back flipped again "Okay, now you die." He jumped and kicked his sword into the enderman's chest, killing him instantly.
He took a few deep breaths, then walked forward, grabbing his weapon out of his fallen enemy. When he tore the blade out, he looked at another of the endermen. Now they were not so sure that they could win, but it was either die here, or go into hiding forever. The four all looked at one another, then charged at Kira again, but he charged back at one of them.
"Come on!" Kira yelled as he swung down at the enderman's stomach, but he stepped back "Where's all that confidence!?" He swung up and batted the enderman's sword to the right "I thought you would all beat me!" The enderman turned around and swung at him, but he blocked the attack "Hm... guess not." He swung their blades, throwing the enderman's into the dirt, then stabbed him through the throat.
He fell to the ground and Kira looked back at the next enderman, who looked like he had just witnessed the devil himself. Kira narrowed his eyes at his enemy, then rushed forward without thinking, not that he really needed to. He slashed him across the chest, then rolled, and stood up on his hands. He kicked the enderman twice in the chest before he got back to his feet. When he stood back up, Kira plunged his sword through the enderman's throat.
He tore the weapon out, then took his spear off of his back again, charging toward the next two endermen. This time, they attacked him together, but it did no good. He swung at one of them, but he blocked with the sword. The other swung his blade at Kira's side, but his spear absorbed the attack. He looked back and pushed the enderman back, then used the butt of his spear to hit him in the throat, partially incapacitating him. He looked back at the other enderman and blocked another sword swing. After the block, he jumped, and swung his leg against the enderman's right temple. He landed, spun, for not reason in particular aside from wanting to make it clear that they couldn't beat him, and stabbed the enderman through the stomach, killing him in less than half a minute. He looked back, then put his spear back on his back because he wouldn't need it. He turned and swung his blade, but the enderman blocked the strike to his chest. Kira swung their blades down and elbowed him in the face. He swung the blade across the enderman's face, then swung his blade through his neck, decapitating him. He took a deep breath and heard someone running toward him. He was about to look toward the sound, but then he saw Vordus turn and look at one of the buildings.
"I heard the fighting from the other side of the village!" Prokaz yelled as he jumped down toward Vordus, the ground beneath him cracking as he landed "Did you think I'd just miss out? Let's go." He pointed his blade at him and Vordus grabbed his axe with two our of his four hands.
"Prokaz, no!" Kira yelled "You can't beat him!"
"I think I'll be the judge of that," Vordus told him "Well... as long as it's a fight to the end, let's make it interesting."
"Agreed."
The two ran at each other and spun, swinging their blades at each other's head. Their attacks collided and their blades simply bounced off one another. Prokaz jumped, spun, and punched him in the shoulder, knocking the axe's blade into the dirt. While Vordus struggled to remove the weapon from the ground, Prokaz charged in. Vordus looked back and saw him to he simply punched him in the chest with one of his free hands, knocking Prokaz back. He got his axe out of the ground and swung the pole over his top shoulders. Prokaz swung down at the same time and almost made contact with his weapon, but the pole of the massive axe stopped him in his tracks. While he pushed down, Vordus swung, hitting Prokaz in the face with the flat side of the axe blade. He fell onto his back and Vordus turned the blade to the sharp end would his Prokaz next time.
"It seems your brother was right," Vordus told him, and then, Prokaz was dead, Vordus's axe lodged through his chest and into the ground.
"No!!!" Kira yelled, and without thinking, he ran up, and attacked Vordus.
He took his spear off of his back and shot a fireball at him, but he just teleported away. Kira ran up to his hill and looked down at his older brother. He fell to his knees and tears, as well as blood, ran down his face. The tears were his, but the blood was clearly not, as he had barely been hit at all. Ashley and Serenity had run into the village and saw Kira. They walked over and he stood up, looking down at his brother still. He knew the two girls were there, but he didn't care. He put his spear on his back and stabbed his blade into the ground next to Prokaz. He knelt down and grabbed his brother's sword, then looked back at the two.
"We're still at war," He told them, then teleported them back to The End.
