While Kira was off clearing his mind, the others were preparing to go toe to to with Dreadlord and his army. Despite the fact that only two of them had powers, everyone was getting ready for the fight. Weapons were bought, phone calls were made, and alliances were struck. Now was the time for everyone to start getting ready, in their own ways.
Dreadlord had his spear and sword again and was training with them. He jumped, the stabbed his spear's tip into the ground, and swung around in the air, kicking a skull off of a skeleton's head. Kira was also training, but with his powers and hand to hand combat skills. He jumped, front flipped in the air, and kicked a ball of fire through the air. Tommy was using his telekinesis to create armor and weapons for everyone. Avery was helping by using the blow torch to weld the pieces together. Noah and Mark tested the weapons on rocks in a desert hey found. If a weapon couldn't destroy a rock, they could take it back, and rebuild it. Amanda and Belle were training with Serenity. While the pyromancer taught them powerful attacks that Kira had taught her, the girl trained her to be a little more acrobatic so she could get away from enemies if she were getting overwhelmed. Vordus swung his recreated axe into the ground, then spun, and swung through a column of obsidian with ease.
"We're ready," Mick told the group as they all gathered in the gym for one last talk "We know the plan, but I'll go through it again just in case someone missed a detail or two... looking at you two." He glared directly at Noah and Mark "So anyway, Tom, Avery, and I will go into the game, try to find Dreadlord and Vordus before they can do any more damage to our world. These endermen, or as the military's been calling them A.I. have been a threa more dangerous than anything in the past ten years. Okay no, the last time Dreadlord attacked was way worse, but those minions couldn't teleport."
"And we could take them out with relative ease," Avery called out "With these guys we need to get up close and personal to deal any level of damage."
"That's right," Tommy said "And since Seri and I are the only ones with powers, we'll need to all get suited up with armor and weapons."
"Y... yeah. That's kinda a given," Noah explained "Of course we need weapons and arm- what the hell were you thinking? Oh yeah, we're just gonna go in against naked, teleporting, shadow people with glowing eyes! Why the hell would we wanna have weapons!? I mean, it's hard to understand what you were thinking!"
"Well, here's the thing. Remember the digicannon?"
"Yeah?" Mark replied, slightly confused.
"Well, that'll be you two's job," Mick told Noah and Mark "You two are good in a fight, but you're also great with machines." He took a step toward them "You should stay in Tom's house and get the cannon ready for when we get Dreadlord and Vordus there."
"Wait... so yo want us... to shoot... Dreadlord... and not have him kill us?" Noah asked.
"We're working at the delly tonight cause I smell cheese," Mark added.
"What does that even mean?" Mick asked.
"You're telling us... to go up against Dreadlord... alone," Noah explained "I don't think you understand that Kira, Ashley, Serenity, and everyone else had trouble with him! How the fuck are we supposed to not only survive against him long enough for that damn thing to charge, but also hit him with the beam!?"
"Oh, you seemed to miss understand," Mick realized "We need yu to mess with the cannon so its more like a shockwave." Mick started explaining what he meant "The blast is supposed to have a large range, instead of just a line of energy." Noah and Mark listened "Instead of a blast, maybe something more akin to an explosion of energy. That's more what I was thinking."
"Oh!" Mark realized "So we need to make this thing, bascially a completely new weapon? How long do we have?"
"Few days."
"A few days!?" Noah exclaimed "This should take us months! Hell, I don't even know if we have a powerful enough source to make the blast anything more than just a pretty light show."
"He has a point," Mark responded "But I think we don't have a choice. It's time to do this. It's our last chance, Noah... now, it's do or die."
"I! Goddammit, why do you know the references to make me side with you?" Noah asked "Fine... let's go..." The two walked out the door and towards Tommy's house "Oh god, I can't believe we're doing this." They walked out into the enderman infested streets, keeping their heads down so they didn't get on any enderman's nerves.
"So... while they're doing that," Avery said "What are we gonna do?"
"Everyone, get suited up," Tommy answered "We leave first thing in the morning. We have a lot of shit to get done, so the moment the sun rises, we go out, and we find him. In this world, or the other."
"Alright... it's time we end this war," Serenity sighed.
Back in his graveyard, Kira was getting ready in his own way, ready to end the war as well. He was spending his time breaking down his own barriers with his powers, testing his limits, and passing them. He had set up training mannequins from bones he found in the graves, using them to test his powers. Whenever he wasn't satisfied with the results of his attacks, he would strive to make them even more dangerous, even lethal. When he was finally satisfied with his progress, he looked at the weapons in the ground. He took his own blade and stabbed it into the ground, knowing he won't need it anymore, one way or another.
"It's been fun, old friend," Kira sighed as he looked at the katana "But I guess this is goodbye." He turned and walked out of the graveyard "Time to finish what we started."
