16: Fight Your Way Out
JACK'S POV
"What the heck is this? What happened to me, and why do I now have a clone?" I asked Kcaj.
"Well, from what I can see, this here energy ball thing is what they were originally going to use on Watcher to clone him. This energy ball must make organic clones, like me! But as you can see, it might not work out so well if the clones want to escape, since organic clones have minds of their own. So they opted to make robots, since they will follow any order and are stronger than humans," Kcaj said, leaning on the wall.
"Well...then, what am I going to do with you?" I asked, standing up and pointing an accusing finger at Kcaj.
"You're going to have to keep me! You still haven't explained to me who you are, but you're obviously here to kill somebody, judging by the swords on your back. You also have magical powers, and if you do, I must too. And there's no way you could take this whole place alone, so you must have an army. I could be a valuable member!" Kcaj cried.
"It's more like a team...but if you have all my same powers, we can use you. Now how do we get out of here?" I asked.

ALICE'S POV
It was all laid out. Yddrgi and Tukandu had warned all of the other slaves about the plan to rebel, and most of them had been willing to do so. We had designed a fairly simple, but effective, strategy to take on Azi Dahaka, Watcher, and Herne. The plan would take action tomorrow. I had to warn the team, so now, in th eend of night, I had phased through the ground and floated back up to the ledge where the team was.
I touched down at the team's base, where all of them were still asleep. I decided to wake them up, but the first thing I noticed was that Jack was missing. I looked around, but I didn't see him anywhere. He must have run off. Suddenly, I heard the clatter of a rock slipping behind me. I whirled around, and saw about ten Bokkenrijders on foot that were armed with swords and axes trying to sneak up on me.
"It's an attack! Everyone up!" I yelled.
Instantly, most of the team was up on their feet. Piper had her bow, Kevin was armed with his tomahawk, and Max had taken up his spear. The Bokkenrijders charged at us, and right from the start, one tripped over, one of Piper's arrows sticking out of his neck. I fired a blast of ghost energy that took out three more, and then they were on top of us. Only one of them ran at me, and I ducked under the first slash of his curved sword. I punched him in the chest, and his chest crumpled inwards as he fell back.
Max had speared his opponent through the chest. I saw Piper gut one of her enemies with her dagger, then turn around and slash open the second's throat. Kevin spun, smashed his axe into the metal mask of his first enemy, cleaving through it. He cut the legs out from under the second Bokkenrijder, then threw his axe and cleaved open the chest of the third before catching his weapon as it came back to him.
As the battle ended, I heard a cry of "What in the name of screw happened?" from over near where the Bokkenrijders had come up the ledge, and I knew that it had to be Jack.
I turned around, and saw Jack running towards us. He inspected the scene very fast, before drawing his sword and stabbing a still-struggling Bokkenrijder in between the shoulders. He ran over and gave Piper a quick hug before turnign to us and speaking.
"Well, guys, I'm sorry about that. I was off...running an errand, and I brought back a new friend. Say hello to Kcaj!" Jack said, gesturing back to the ledge.
Climbing up over the ledge was an...exact copy of Jack. Just like a clone of him. My first reaction was surprise, but then I realized that he looked really good. He was wearing a purple T-shirt and jeans, except for the fact that he didn't look as beat-up and tattered as Jack did. Kcaj smiled and gave a silly wave, saying "Hello, all!" before walking over to all of us and starting to shake all of our hands.
"And you must be Piper, and I'm assuming you're Kevin, and this is Max..." he said, walkign around and shaking hands.
As Kcaj turned to me, he instantly stopped dead. I looked around, confused, before turning back to Kcaj's face. I knew his expression all to well. He was infatuated with me.
"You are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. A...A...Alice," he said, crumpling to his knees.
This might not be that bad after all.
