12: Like Breaking a Wall
"God's wounds! Look at that!" I cried.
We were standing outside on the rocky beach that was in front of Fortress Crag. Asag was lumbering through the trees towards us. He looked almost like a moving mountain. He had a huge torso, and a huge spike was jutting out of his back. He had two legs, and two arms. His face was like a man's, but it didn't have a nose, and the cragged lower jaw jutted out. His eyes glowed red. I could even see a few small trees growing on him.
"Okay, let's do this!" Kevin said, whirling his tomahawk.
From behind us, creatures started rushing out of Fortress Crag. A huge fox the size of a small car with white fur bounded across the beach and dashed into the trees, darting around Asag's huge feet. The fox was followed by several large crocodiles that had reflective mirrors with Egyptian designs on their heads. The Nightwarriors tromped out, but this time they ignored us. They faded right through Asag's feet.
Asag ignored all of the monsters and finally burst out onto the beach, leaving a blasted scar of crumpled trees and crushed ground behind him. Asag cracked his knuckles and opened his mouth. He started to vomit, huge globs of mud and rock spilling out of his mouth. The globs landed in an arc all around the front of him. Each glob started to quiver, and they started to...grow.
"What the heck?" Max said.
"Asag was always accompanied into battle by his rock demon army. They're his sons that were born from him and the mountains of Mesopotamia themselves," Piper explained.
Each glob was now around 6 feet tall, and forming into the vague shape of a human. They grew arms, legs, and their eyes started to glow red. Before long, about three hundred miniature Asags were standing in front of their dad. The real Asag had shrunk down to about 10 feet tall now, as summoning them must have made him smaller.
"Let's go! You guys worry about the rock demons. I'll take Asag himself," Jack said, whirling his swords.
The rock demon army gave roars and charged at Jack. Jack used his wind energy to propel himself up into the air, flying over their heads and hitting the ground in front of the real Asag. The rock demons turned back to the four of us and charged. Kevin was stepping in to meet them first, whirling his tomahawk and chopping off legs, arms, and heads. Several demons attacked me.
I launched some spears of ghost energy at them, and about three fell over. Then the others were on top of me, surrounding me and bludgeoning at me with their arms and claws. I kicked the one directly in front of me in the face. Several fists slammed down onto my back, and I cried out in pain. I picked up the one that I had kicked and swung it around in a circle like a cricket bat, smashing aside the rest of the ones that were surrounding me.
Another one came at me from the side, but I punched out and knocked its head off. Two more attacked me from the front, and I kneed one in the chest before karate-chopping the second in the neck. More kept coming though. They weren't skilled fighters, but their numbers were absolutely overwhelming. I blasted one through the chest and continued the fight. If they kept coming like this, we would be overwhelmed.

JACK'S POV
Asag launched a punch at my face, but I ducked down as his fist just barely missed me. I slashed out at his legs, but he jumped back. I fired several wind blasts at his face and chest, but he raised his arms up and blocked the blasts. Still, they knocked him a bit off balance, and I ran around him. I leaped into the air, using my wind energy to propel myself again.
