I was going down the stairs. Somebody is knocking on the door. I opened the door to see Bonnie.
Nevaeh:"Hi."
Bonnie:"Hey. I couldn't sleep last night. You were obviously upset about something and I just walked away. It's not me. That can't be us. You're my friend, Nevaeh. If you need me I'm here for you and I'm sorry I couldn't show you that yesterday."
Nevaeh:"I met my birth mother."
Bonnie:"Oh. Was it...Are you okay?"
I cried and shook my head. Bonnie comforts me.

Mystic Falls High School
Jace is building the float. Tyler arrives.
Tyler:"Hey man. So Caroline tells me you've been on your own for the past two weeks. Is everything okay?"
Jace:"You're asking me about my mom. Seriously? Look, man, why don't I just tell her to give you a call when she comes back to town."
Tyler:"Dude, that's not what I meant okay? I'm just trying to...I don't know what to say."
Jace:"Good then, don't say anything. You're a dick, end of the story."
Tyler:"I know." Jace walks away. "Yeah, whatever."

In a classroom, Bonnie is leafing through Emily's spell book. I entered the room.
Bonnie:"Hey! Thanks for meeting me. I wanted you to see this."
Nevaeh:"Is that Emily's spell book?"
Bonnie:"I've been going through it since Grams died. Check this out."
Bonnie shows me the book.
Nevaeh:"That's the vampire compass."
Bonnie:"Yeah, according to Emily, Johnathan Gilbert never actually succeeded in inventing anything. Emily secretly spelled them all with magic. Compass, rings and the mystery device you told me about."
She shows me a page from the book. The device is designed.
Nevaeh:"Yeah that's it. Well, a part of it. Damon only has the one piece."
Bonnie:"Emily pledged her loyalty to Isabela. But she couldn't stand by and watch innocent people get killed. This was the only way she could think of to help. To let Johnathan Gilbert believe that he'd actually invented these devices."
Nevaeh:"Does it say what it does?"
Bonnie reads the page,"Are you sure this is what Amelia wants?"
Nevaeh:"Yeah, I'm sure. Why?"
Bonnie:"This is a weapon. Against vampires."
I was surprised.

Outside, Jeremy is walking and he saw me, and walked up to me.
Jeremy:"Nevaeh!"
Nevaeh:"Hey, have you seen Stefan? I need to find him."
Jeremy:"No, not lately. Listen, do you have a second?"
Nevaeh:"Yeah. What's up? What's going on?"
Jeremy:"Well, it's Anna. I've left her all this messages and she hasn't gotten back to me not even a text."
Nevaeh:"Anna? I didn't know that you guys were still friends."
Jeremy:"We're more than friends. Look, something could be seriously wrong and if you know anything you've got to tell me."
Nevaeh:"I haven't talked to her, Jer."
Jeremy:"Are you lying to me right now?"
Nevaeh:"No, I'm not lying to you, I will never lie to you. You know that."
Jeremy:"Well, I don't think I believe you right now. You lie about everything. I know what Anna is and I know that you know. So tell me, do you have any idea where she is?"
Nevaeh:"No, but Jer...Jeremy wait! Jeremy!"
I turned around and Amelia is standing right behind me.
Nevaeh:"Amelia. What are you doing here?"
Amelia:"I'm your mother, Nevaeh. I want to be more involved in your life."
Nevaeh:"If you want to be in my life then, you have to stop listening to your men, and letting them kill people."
Amelia:"I understand that. You already have a lot of people that you care about but I've been studying. Let's see if I got this right." She looks at Elena. "There's the sister, Elena. Sweet girls." She then looks at Bonnie. "There's the witchy best friend Bonnie. Gonna stay away from that one." She looks at Jeremy. "Oh...sad little brother Jeremy." She watches Caroline. "And there's Caroline...obnoxious Caroline. I got all of my info from her by the way. She had no idea who I was and she wouldn't stop yapping. Oh..." she looks at Jace. "And there's Jace, friend, ex, sweet girl's future ex. Lots of connections there."
Nevaeh:"Jace is not involved in this."
Amelia:"He's involved with you, isn't he?"
Nevaeh:"Look, you shouldn't be here. You need to leave."
Amelia:"No, I have some friends here too. Look, you see that man over there, standing next to Jace by the float? His name is Frank, he's very handsome and he's also quite handy and he'd noticed that the axles are a little rusty which is very dangerous. So, all you have to do is apply a little pressure and..."
Nevaeh:"No!"
Frank jumps on the trailer above Jace. Jace's arm gets crushed. I tried to run for him, but Amelia grabs me by the arm.
Jace:"Get this trailer! Come on guys help me!"
Tyler rushes to help him with some friends, they tried to remove the trailer. Stefan arrives to help lift. They remove the trailer. Jace gets free.
Stefan:"Elena, call an ambulance."
Nevaeh:"Why are you doing this?"
Amelia:"I'm showing you how easy it is to hurtful people that you care about."
Nevaeh:"And you're doing this just because of Johnathan Gilbert's invention?"
Amelia:"Hand it over  and all of it will all stop."
Nevaeh:"I told you, Damon is not going to give it to  me."
Amelia:"I think you underestimated how much Damon cares about you."
Nevaeh:"He'll kill you before he gives it up."
Amelia:"Is that before or after I kill your brother Jeremy?"
I turned to see Jeremy, but he has disappeared.
Nevaeh:"Jeremy?"
Stefan looks at me.
Nevaeh:"Jeremy?!"
I looked everywhere, Amelia is gone too.
