The violin playing from the audiograph echoed through the halls. The mansion was filled with noise, fireworks going off outside. Normally, Rory would've tried to convince Audrey to host the party only for nobles, but she wasn't going to take fun away from people. Guards stood at the gate, checking all people for signs of plague. You managed to get through with the use of an invitation, now feeling the warm air flow under your mask.

Exploring the area, you found yourself standing a few feet away from a masked woman. She held a glass of champagne, streamers and confetti booming into the air with the sound of firecrackers as you could feel her eyes burrowing into you. "Enjoying my party?" She asked, a small giggle to her words. "It's superb. I have to admit, I never expected Sir Rory to allow the commoners to join." You admitted. "What makes you say that, darling?" Audrey turned towards you, placing her glass down. Her tone held worry instead of irritation, almost as if she was worried she offended you.

"It's just- I... I'm just a commoner and I would've never been able to get in mostly because Sir Rory, your husband, specifically doesn't like me." You explained, your voice slowly getting quieter. Audrey continued to face you, then she took your wrist when you went to turn away. "Meet me in my chambers when the party is over. It's the one straight across from the stairs, you can't miss it." Audrey explained quietly. "What-?" "I promise, I'll make it worth your time. We haven't shared a bed since we moved to Gristol. See you then." She walked away, leaving you shocked. A date in Madame Audrey's room? During a masquerade!?
