Part 2 of Summer Heat

Ship: Cordelia x Witch Vampire! Reader

---

Cordelia ran outside with you, soaking up the cool night air. You laid in the grass, smiling as the green plants gently waved in the light breeze. "Thank you for getting those AC units in." Cordelia spoke up, coming to sit beside you. "No problem. It's better than having to walk around a pool in the middle of the living room." You gave a soft laugh, looking up at the moon.

"I'm glad you're here, by the way." Cordelia caught your attention, you looking at the woman. "I know. You don't say it, but your actions do." You smiled, feeling the woman lay beside you. "When did you become a vampire?" Cordelia inquired, staring at the moon with you. "I was born as one, it's a genetic thing. My mother is a vampire, my father is too." You quietly explained. "Add in that my grandmother was a witch, you get hit with the magic bat double whammy." You gave a soft laugh, Cordelia giggling a little.

"I wish you would've told me sooner." Cordelia broke the silence after a few minutes. "I didn't know how you all would react. I didn't know if you all would be scared of me. I know if I would." You sat up, looking at Cordelia. "I actually like that you're a vampire. Especially when we need to go somewhere and you're a little bat in my purse." Cordelia giggled, you laughing at the memory. A little bat in her purse being fed french fries and chicken nuggets.

"So, I have a question about garlic." Cordelia glanced to you as she spoke. "Oh, that? It's because it lowers your blood pressure, makes it harder to drink. It also smells bad to us vampires. However, I love it." You smiled, laughing a little. "The taste that is. I can't stand the smell."

The moon was slowly beginning to set, you getting up. "Well, it's time I go inside before the Murder Orb comes out." You started to head to the house. "Wait! I have tinting for the windows coming in. Will it work for you?" Cordelia got up, chasing you. "Oh yeah, it works wonders. Just tint the outside and I'll be able to go into the greenhouse."

You showed her a small spot on your arm. "That's why we tint our windows at home." It was a burn mark no bigger than a quarter. Cordelia gently kissed the spot, you two running inside. You two raced each other to the bed, you leaping onto the bed first. "No fair! You're a vampire, you're fast!" Cordelia pouted then smiled, hugging you. "Not as fast as your metabolism." You teased.
