------

The smell of cigars, whiskey, and cologne filled your senses, nobles sitting neatly to watch one person in particular. Famed actress Audrey Tindall. She was reenacting The Young Prince of Tyvia, her skin lightly dusted with silver powder to have that pale Tyvian glow. You got to the third row, taking a seat and watching Audrey intently. Not to your knowledge, you were just a couple seats away from your father.

She lifted her arm, loudly and seductively calling out her lines. They drew naturally from her, as though they were a part of her. Audrey's eyes caught a glimpse of you, stumbling on her words for a second. She's here! Audrey poured her heart and soul into her performance, wanting to greatly impress you. She could hear the crowd gasping quietly in awe of her already spectacular performance becoming stronger. For (Y/N).

"That's a harsh welcome for royalty, m'lord." Audrey whimpered, resting the back of her hand on her head. She glanced at your father, giving a mischievous smirk. "Your daughter treated me with much more hospitality, alas she has gone out for the evening. Leaving me here all alone." Audrey cooed, sauntering over to the other actress across the stage. Normally, Audrey would've been instructed to just simply walk over, but she wanted to make the interaction feel real for you.

Your heart sputtered, images of your night together flooded your senses. The smell of incense burning, the soft sheets. Audrey kept you in that space, drawing a fascinated smile from you.

As the play drew to an end, Audrey instructed you to come to the stage. As you moved forward, your father caught sight of you, his eyes wide with confusion. You took Audrey's soft hand, pulled onto the stage as the curtain call was in place. The world felt unreal, the clicking of the Clockwork Soldiers standing idle was all that filled your ears. Audrey planted a kiss onto your lips, her arms holding you close. The silver powder on her skin rubbed onto you, her fur costume gingerly falling further off her shoulder.

The crowd sat in shock, your father staring. As you pulled back, Audrey could only grin. It wasn't until she slid the ring onto your finger that the crowd started to cheer.

Your father sat there in shock, unblinking and jaw hanging open slightly. He didn't know what to think. Pride filled his heart, his daughter rising up the ranks so quickly. He began clapping, being the first to stand up.

After the play, you and Audrey walked home. You both giggled and held hands, city guard supervising the passage ahead.
