Hours passed, and she was finally released from her torture. The pain was still active, as loralie looked around the operation room. It was splattered with bloodstains. Dr. Senka handed loralie a black eye patch. “put this on, I don’t want you taking it off either. You need to heal, unfortunately I cannot give you the standard white eye patch, due to the amount of blood loss you are suffering. It wouldn’t be a pretty sight, hm?” Dr. Senka smiled as if she didn’t just traumatize Loralie. “come now, let’s get you back to your room.” She continued. “what.. was the point of that? I don’t feel anything different other than intense pain, miss Senka.” Loralie remarked, twirling her hair. Dr. Senka shuttered at the name. “that was nothing more than an experiment.” She spat out. Loralie was unpleased with the rough response. There had to be more to it. This was supposed to be a mental hospital, not a laboratory. Or was it? “are we just nothing but guinea pigs to you doctors? What are you guys trying to accomplish? Why did you trick all of us saying this was a hospital? Are we actually going to get help?” she flooded the doctor with questions. She realized that Dr. Senka had stopped in her tracks, looking down at her feet. She slowly lowered her clipboard and sighed. “we.. we need to cure this absolute train wreck of a place. If we take people who aren’t happy with their lives, we need to find a way to help them. Obviously therapy isn’t working for many, so we need to find a scientific method to cure this maddening trauma we’re all suffering” Dr. Senka’s head slowly raised to meet loralie’s. Taking a step forward, her frown turned into a sickening smile. Her eyes widened, almost budging out of her head. Her psychotic grin made loralie’s hairs prick up. “and we will make sure all of you are cured.” She grinned. Loralie had only seen the sweet funny, or dead Serious side of the doctor, but not this side. This was different. This was something much more dangerous. But just then, she snapped back to normal. Brushing off the conversation, she motioned for loralie to follow her to her room. Loralie quickly ran after Dr. Senka, until they reached the rooms. As usual, the metal door slammed behind loralie when she stepped inside. That was the final straw. Loralie and Theodore were not safe in this place, not that they were from the start but now she knew they couldn’t stay there.
